What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 167. every body asks if you all you put in your burgers is beef, But I would like to know what Mcdonalds say beef is
-
McDonald’s defines the beef it uses in its burgers as whole cuts of forequarter and flank (the front shoulders and sides of beef reared cattle). McDonald’s UK sources its meat from farmers in the UK and Ireland. The company has a policy to source beef locally wherever it can and last year over 16,000 British and Irish farmers supplied McDonald’s with beef. What’s more McDonald’s is able to trace exactly which farms the beef comes from, the farmers' names and how those animals were reared.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 168. What percentage of your burgers is actually beef? Theres no such thing as a 100% beef burger as u have to put some bread, onions, egg or whatever to hold it together...
-
That is not actually correct. McDonald’s burgers are indeed 100 percent beef. Nothing is added – no binders, no fillers, no additives. The restaurants use two-sided hotplates to cook the hamburgers, so no extra fat is added during cooking. Then the burgers are seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 169. No. of Cows In Each Burger. Could you tell me whether, in each hamburger, there are up to hundreds of different cows, from several different cattles/locations. An earlier answer given was very vague (actually to say "it might do" isn't really an answer at all).
-
Sorry if it’s still a little vague, but there really is no definitive answer to this question. There may be more than one animal in each burger, possibly sourced from more than one farm. But the actual number of cattle used per burger would most likely be in the tens, not the hundreds. All meat McDonald’s uses can in fact be traced directly back to the farms and cattle it originated from.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 170. what else is mixed in to the burgers? as they are NOT 100% "pure beef" as a beef burger from a butcher tastes completly different to the rubber that mcdonalds sell
-
McDonald’s burgers are in fact 100 percent beef with nothing added other than salt and pepper after cooking. There is no reason why a McDonald’s burger would taste of ‘rubber’ and the millions of customers who enjoy eating McDonald's food everyday might disagree with your opinion.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 171. is it true that your burgers are made up off the unwanted parts of the cow eg testiclas, eye balls.
-
No. All McDonald’s hamburgers are made of beef. Nothing else. Just 100 percent beef, made from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you'd buy in the supermarket). All that’s added is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. The beef is sourced from over 16,000 British and Irish farms, and at times of high demand, from farms in other European Union countries. All these farms produce to the same industry leading standards, and McDonald’s is able to trace exactly which farms our beef comes from, the farmers' names and how the animals were reared.

The burgers themselves are 100% beef. The Cheeseburger sandwich also includes a cheddar cheese slice (processed), tomato ketchup, a little mustard, onions, gherkin and a bun. A full list of all McDonald’s ingredients is available online in the ‘Eat Smart’ section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 173. Why you put so any artifical chemicals in your burgers that they can last for years without decay?
-
There are no artificial chemicals in McDonald’s burgers whatsoever, and they’re certainly not designed to last for years! In fact there is nothing but 100% beef in the patties, with a pinch of salt and pepper added after cooking. Once manufactured, the burgers are frozen to prolong their shelf life. After freezing they are cooked in the restaurants on a hot plate.

I have checked the section of your website listing the ingredients for your products and was shocked to discover that the so-called "Hamburger" actually contains no ham. Surely there could be liability for McDonalds under product description legislation.
-
The term ‘hamburger’ is a generic name for a style of beef sandwich that originated from Hamburg, Germany in the late 18th century. Originally called the ‘Hamburg Steak’, an early reference appears in 1802 edition of the Oxford Dictionary. This sandwich was made and continues to be made from beef, not pork

-
All McDonald’s beef patties are 100 percent beef, not 53 percent. While McDonald’s cannot be responsible for its customers’ appetites it ensures that the beef has nothing added other than a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 177. why is the meat in your hamburgers so thin?
-
Taking into account burger size will depend on which type of burger you choose, a Quarter Pounder patty is naturally larger than a Hamburger, the thickness of McDonald’s beef burgers has remained unchanged for years because that’s how most McDonald’s customers like them.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 178. If you use "only 100% pure beef", then why do your burgers taste like like a load of artificial flavourings and fat etc ??
-
Taste is a matter of individual opinion, but McDonald’s food ingredients are a matter of fact. The burgers are indeed 100 percent beef. The beef is taken from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (the front shoulders and sides) of beef cattle, the very same animals that provide some of the UK’s leading supermarkets with beef. The only fat present comes from naturally occurring animal fats in the meat itself. McDonald’s do not even use oil to cook the burgers, and the only additional flavours are a pinch of salt and pepper added once the burger has been cooked.

-
No. Skilled butchers prepare the beef just as they would in a butcher’s shop, taking care to trim the meat to our standards prior to delivery to the company that makes the hamburger patties. The beef used is from the forequarter and flank (in other words, the front shoulder and sides, not offal) of carefully selected beef cattle. The mincing process, though on a much larger scale, is the same as you would find in your local butcher or a mincer at home.
