61. Can you explain what 'carefully deboned chicken' is? The inside of your Chicken McNuggets does not look like the chicken that I take from the bone. It looks as if it is processed in some way once it is taken from the bone. Is that true?
The white chicken breast meat is carefully removed from the bone, minced (which gives the McNuggets their unique look and texture) and then a flavour marinade is added and mixed in. The chicken gets shaped into McNuggets and coated with a specially seasoned batter. 66. if you say your chicken nuggets are 100% chicken breast, then what % of that breast is fat?
All meat, including chicken breast meat, contains traces of fat. The McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets are made from the same whole chicken breast fillet as you would buy at the supermarket and, therefore, contain the same fat levels. However, the stock and the coating that are used also contain some fats so, if you’d like to see a full nutritional breakdown of McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets, please go to the ‘Eat Smart’ section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk

71. are any of the other foods in mcdonalds got some horrible ingrediants like what the chicken nuggets used to be like?
Chicken McNuggets have only ever been made from good quality chicken. The McNuggets did change a few years ago, however. They used to contain both brown meat (from the leg and wings of the bird) and white meat (which is breast) – but now they’re made from breast meat only. McDonald’s prides itself on using the best ingredients it can find, most of which is sourced locally. The burgers are 100 percent beef from British and Irish farms. Bacon and sausage menu items are made from prime pork belly. If you want to find out more about how McDonald’s sources and produces its food, why not follow the progress of the McDonald’s Quality Scouts on this website? 72. I understand that your chicken nuggets are now 100% chicken breast but why does the chicken look like reformed chicken ?
The chicken is indeed taken only from the breast (white) meat of carefully selected chickens. It’s then made into McNuggets, forming them into regular shapes. Although the resulting McNugget might not resemble a single chicken breast from a supermarket, it is in fact the same meat.
