McDonald’s doesn’t use RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tagging to monitor stock or for logistical purposes. It is something that is looked at periodically but at present the cost is still too prohibitive for McDonald’s product case size and value. For your reference and as a potential lead for you dissertation. Marks and Spencers are regarded as the leading retailer in this field of technology.
