4. I know all your milk is organic, but are your shakes and mcflurrys
You are correct, McDonald’s does use organic milk in the milk bottles. However using organic milk in the milkshake and McFlurry is another matter. The volume of organic milk required would make McDonald’s one of the biggest buyer of organic milk in the country and the existing supply chain is simply not able to cope with a demand of that scale at present. This may be reviewed in the future if the circumstances change.

5. Do you make any effort to source any of your meat from free range organic farms?
McDonald’s is making every effort to look at commercially-viable volumes of free range chicken, through the Food Animal Initiative which it co-sponsors. At the moment, free-range and organic suppliers are relatively small specialist markets which can’t presently supply the large quantities that McDonald’s UK would require. However, the company’s intent is demonstrated by the fact that all eggs now used by McDonald’s are free range and the milk in milk bottles is 100 percent organic.
