61. I hear that the meat in your burgers is 80% cow genetalia because you sell off the decent meat to supermarkets and keep what should be waste to use in your restaraunts and that the remaining substance is ground hooves/gristle and mucas. If you deny this I would like solid proof. Many thanks
What you’ve heard isn’t true. McDonald’s uses only 100% beef from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you’d buy in the supermarket). The company is also able to track exactly which farms the beef comes from, and how the animals were reared. As you are interested solid proof, then you might want to follow the Quality Scouts programme on this web site. Quality Scouts are members of the public who’ve volunteered to visit McDonald’s farms and suppliers to see first hand how the animals are reared and the food is made. The Make up Your Own Mind web site is posting their photo diaries and giving you the opportunity to send in the questions you want them to ask.

64. What does '100% whole beef' actually mean? I really don't care if it comes from Kathmandu or the British Isles, I am slightly more concerned about what I am eating. Exactly what does NOT go to waste on your average McDonalds bound Aberdeen Angus?
100 percent beef means that nothing other than whole cuts of the forequarter and flank (the front shoulders and sides) are used in McDonald’s burgers. And while McDonald’s uses the forequarter and flank portions of the cattle for its burgers, some of the UK’s leading supermarkets will use the rear of the same animal to supply their steaks keeping wastage to a necessary minimum.

66. is your food made out of left over bit of the animals??? :| !!
All McDonald's hamburgers are made of beef. Nothing else. Just 100 percent beef, made from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (the same as a good mince you'd buy in the supermarket). All McDonald's adds is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. Similarly, the chicken products are made with white meat chicken breast, plus the crispy coating on the outside. None of the chicken or beef products use off cuts or mechanically reclaimed parts.
