McDonald's crew members deal with two million customer orders a day. They all work extremely hard to ensure that customers' orders are met accurately and efficiently and the company takes pride in its excellent employees who provide a great service, day in, day out. However, in such a busy restaurant setting, sometimes mistakes do happen and if that's ever the case, the restaurant manager will be happy to rectify the situation on the spot. (August 2007)

192. Do you pay your floor staff and cleaners (not managers etc) above the national minimum wage in any of your european restaurants? If not why not?
All McDonald's UK rates of pay are reviewed each year in light of external market competitiveness, internal comparability and National Minimum Wage legislation. Like many other retailers, McDonald's pays a lower starting rate to crew members aged under 18 - currently, £4.00 per hour compared to £4.25 for crew members aged 18 - 21. All McDonald's UK employees are paid the appropriate wage at or above the government's minimum wage. Currently less than 17 percent of hourly paid employees are on national minimum wage. (June 2007)
