Thanks for your question. All of our products are cooked separately; beef patties are cooked on a griddle and our Filet-o-Fish, Fish Fingers, Apple Pies, Chicken products and vegetable patty are cooked in 100% vegetable oil using dedicated cooking vats. These vats are exclusively for the purpose of cooking a specific product and that product alone. However, due to the design of the oil filtration system there is a small chance that tiny traces of the vegetable oil used to fry chicken and fish products can come into contact with oil used to cook the vegetable patties and Pies, during the oil filtering process. The vats are filtered manually using a strict order of rotation to minimise any chance that oil residues from the previous filtering could get into the vat used for other products. Therefore while every precaution is taken in order to prevent this during the filtering process, we cannot categorically state this would never occur. (January 2012).

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 5. Please can you help me to understand the pay structure. I'm 24, on training squad and have worked at a franchised restaurant for 6 years. A poster in the crew room states that minimum wage from october 2011 is £6.08 plus an extra 35p if on training squad. Are these figures correct and if so does this mean i should be on at least £6.43? If possible could you send me the pay structure for someone in my position for 2009-2011. Thank you

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 6. I am a vegetarian, is it true that the 'Vegetable Deluxe' burger is NOT suitable for vegetarians? I have checked the McDonald's website however they fail to tell you what ingredients are in the food we are eating, and only give the nutritional value! Please help me!

Thanks for your question. All ingredients in the Vegetable Deluxe are suitable for vegetarians (i.e. contain no ingredients of animal origin). The vegetable patty is cooked in a dedicated vat using a non hydrogenated blend of rapeseed and sunflower oil (which is suitable for vegetarians). However, due to the design of the oil filtration system there is a small chance that tiny traces of the vegetable oil used to fry chicken and fish products can come into contact with oil used to cook the vegetable patties and Pies, during the oil filtering process. The vats are filtered manually using a strict order of rotation to minimise any chance that oil residues from the previous filtering could get into the vat used for other products. Therefore while every precaution is taken in order to prevent this during the filtering process, we cannot categorically state this would never occur. (December 2011)

Thank you for your question. The beef patty is made using 100% British and Irish beef, supplied by our beef patty supplier in Scunthorpe. The bun used is baked by one of our bakery product suppliers in Heywood near Manchester or Banbury, Oxfordshire. The mustard is made by one of our sauce suppliers in Lancashire, whilst the Heinz ketchup is made in Belgium, and the cheese slice is made by a supplier in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. The dill pickles are sourced from Turkey and the onions are from the United States. (November 2011)
