- 1. When i visitd the UK in May 2007 I had a great burger, it was a special limited time menu item and I forget the name and hope you can remind me what it was called and what was on it. It was served on a rectangular bun more like a sourdough, it had caramelised onion. It was served with thick cut chips instead of the ususal fries and it was lovely.
-
Thank you for your question. We're glad you enjoyed your McDonald's meal while visiting the UK. Based on your description, it sounds like the burger you had was the limited edition Beef Deluxe. We are always looking at new and innovative products to launch on our menu, and we always have a variety of new products launching promotionally or permanently. We hope you find something equally enjoyable the next time you visit a McDonald's restaurant in the UK.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 2. i recently got a job and i start next month, and i was just wondering if your aloud to have your eyebrow pierced because im considering getting it. Thanks
-
Congratulations on your new job with McDonald’s. McDonald’s staff policy is that no watches, small badges or other jewellery items of any sort, with the exception of a plain wedding band, are to be worn during work. This is due to the risk of it being caught in equipment, dirt being trapped within the item, food safety risk, or a cause of physical contamination. This includes visible body piercing such as tongue, eyebrows and nose. Make-up is permitted as long as it is subtle and not excessive.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. Why are the actual drive through lanes so narrow at your restaurants? They only seem to take small cars at many restaurants in the North West of England, family size cars struggle to fit through and in many cases do not. As well as narrow lanes, you are required to turn 90 degree angles as you drive around the drive through in todays wide cars which also have larger turning circles which is just not possible. Why are the drive through lanes too small for family cars?
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s restaurants are designed to allow a standard family saloon car (as prescribed by the Department of Transport) to safely progress around our restaurants.
Whilst we appreciate some family cars are larger than this standard, this does give us issues with these vehicles physically fitting beneath our buildings. As such, we need to limit the size of vehicles around our drive thru lanes.

-
Thank you for your question. A signposting job requires holding a piece of directional signage (a signpost) in a busy thoroughfare in order to alert members of the public to the nearest McDonald's UK restaurant.

-
Thank you for your question. The film 'Supersize Me' did coincide with a period of sales decrease at McDonald's however it is impossible to determine whether or not the films release impacted on sales. This is due to the fact that there were many other factors influencing sales. Since that period – 2005/2006 McDonald's has brought many changes to the brand, in terms of food, decor, service, opening hours etc. McDonald's has also spent considerable time and effort in communicating the reality of the nutritional quality and ingredients of the food. This has all helped build sales in the most recent years.

If I worked for you, would the same rule apply? If so, do you have staff changing rooms? Its just where I work now staff all have to change in the staff room, which can be embarrassing if you're changing in front of a guy!
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald's restaurants do have staff changing facilities to allow employees to change out of their outdoor clothes into their uniform.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 15. I believe McDonald's have three menus: Breakfast, Day and Overnight. In a 24 hour restaurant what time do each of these menus begin and what are the differences between the day and overnight menus? Thanks!
-
Thank you for your question. Indeed at McDonald's there are three separate menus, Breakfast, Day and Overnight. In general the breakfast shift starts at 5.00am and changes to the day menu at 10.30am. There are however some exceptions. In some specific locations, such as airports, where there is less uniform customer flow it could be the case that these opening hours differ slightly. This is a decision that is taken at a local level and is subject to approval. With regards the overnight menu, owing to demand at different periods during the day or night, some restaurants might choose to not offer the full menu list at certain times.
