- 7801. What healthy food have you added to your menu? and when did you have to add them and why ?
-
All McDonald’s food can be enjoyed as part of a varied and balanced diet. Certain menu ranges have been extended to include more choice for the customer, such as adding Fruit Bags and Carrot Sticks. McDonald’s has also been taking positives steps to reduce salt levels and trans fats levels in line with government guidelines. The changes that have been made have come about through listening to customers and have proved popular.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7802. the equipment you use to make the food in your restaurants, is that bought off a special company? if so who is it?
-
The equipment used in McDonald’s kitchens is manufactured by a wide range of suppliers based primarily in North America and Europe. These companies supply equipment to many commercial businesses and domestic customers. In some cases, the equipment may be fairly generic and only have minor changes from customer to customer. In other cases, the equipment may be unique to that customer. Equipment specification is tailored to McDonald’s restaurants being able to produce a high quality finished product with McDonald’s specific raw ingredients on a consistent basis and in a robust working environment. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that the majority of McDonald’s equipment would prove to be a commercially viable option to anyone but McDonald's.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7803. Why do we not have the option of plates eating in the restaurant, You have to take the food out of excess packaging and place it on an often "dirty" table. The tray mats might do , but you only get one per tray of food, and this may have to be shared between 4.
-
McDonald’s utilises disposable packaging for all food purchases, be they eat-in or take away for reasons of speed and efficiency. A typical restaurant in London’s West End may serve between 700 to 800 customers in one hour. McDonald’s customers expect to receive good, hot food, quickly, and as such it is not operationally practicable to use plates in restaurants for sit-in customers.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7806. What countries currently don't have a McDonalds restaurant? Also, by what year do think McDonalds will have a restaurant in every country?
-
McDonald’s currently operates in over 100 countries worldwide so there are many countries that do not have a McDonald’s. There is no goal to have a restaurant in every country. McDonald’s will only open restaurants in a country if it believes that there is a demand from customers for its food. If you want to try and find a specific McDonald's restaurant there is a 'Restaurant Locator' at www.mcdonalds.co.uk which can help you find restaurants across the UK and Europe.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7807. How many burgers can you make from one cow?
-
McDonald’s has no idea how many burgers you can make from one cow as they don't make burgers from a whole cow. McDonald’s only uses whole cuts of the forequarter and flank from cattle. As an estimate, one head of cattle (just using the forequarter and flank) will produce approximately 1,000 Quarter Pounders.

-
It is only McDonald’s crew that start on different hourly rates based on age. Like many other retailers, McDonald's pays a lower starting rate to crew members aged under 18. Currently, the rate is £4.25 per hour compared to £4.45 for crew aged 18 – 21 and £5.35 for crew over 21. All starting rates for positions other than crew are the same regardless of age.

-
This is not true. McDonald’s kitchens do not have ovens nor does McDonald’s UK know of there being an M24. McDonald’s is very strict about its food safety and hygiene procedures and if McDonald’s receives any allegations about this sort of behaviour, these claims are fully investigated. There are many such stories that do the rounds and not one has ever been found to have any factual basis. Needless to say, if there was any truth in any such allegations, it would be a dismissible offence.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7814. You say you are able to trace exactly which farms the beef in a burger comes from. Does that mean if i requested information on a particular burger you would be able to tell me how it was reared and the farmers name?
-
McDonald’s do have the ability to trace meat, in order to ensure food safety. McDonald’s can’t trace a specific, single burger back to a particular farm because the beef patties are made from a batch of minced forequarter and flank, which may well have come from more than one animal. However, the company can match a batch of burgers to a batch of cattle and the farms they come from, as well as how they were reared.

McDonald’s is sure you’ll appreciate that the exact breakdown of the kind of financial information you are asking for is highly confidential and the company doesn’t release it.
