4. i like to make bugers at home, but have trouble finding a suitable bun. they're either too crusty (which i like but not for a burger) or too soft. any chance you can send me a shedload of you quarter pounder buns? we could even strike up some sort of endorsement deal, and you could pay me in buns? think about it, i think i have quite a friendly face, i think i'd look pretty cool on some huge billboard poster, tucking into a big mac, giving 2 thumbs up. let me know what you think.
Unfortunately McDonald’s burger buns are produced exclusively for the Company, and are not available for general sale. If it helps, the ingredients for the burger buns are as follows: Wheat flour, sugar, sesame seeds, yeast, rapeseed oil, salt, emulsifier (E472e Mono- and Diacetyltartaric acid esters of mon- and diglycerides of fatty acids), soya flour, preservative (E282 calcium propionate), flour treatment agent (E300 ascorbic acid), palm oil. With regards to advertisement, the Company has specific agencies that deal with that side of the business. Despite this, McDonald’s is pleased to hear of your enthusiasm and wishes you the best of luck in your quest to find a suitable bun. (March 2009)

5. Hello, how fresh are your buns? Are they baked fresh daily?
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s UK buns are made daily at a bakery in Heywood, Lancashire, exclusively for McDonald’s. They are then delivered on the same day to restaurants via a network of distribution centres. Once delivered they are then unpackaged at the restaurant and lightly toasted before being used to make up the various burgers available at McDonald’s. (March 2009)
