1. can you send me a list of ingrediants that go in a chicken sandwich and where the indrediants are sourced? Thanks
Thank you for your question. The McChicken Sandwich consists of a bun, chicken sandwich patty, sandwich sauce and lettuce. The toasted quarter bun used is baked by one of our bakery product suppliers in Heywood near Manchester or Banbury, Oxfordshire. The chicken patty is made by one of our chicken product suppliers in Wolverhampton, using 100% chicken breast meat; which is sourced from many countries around the world including the UK, Holland, France, and Brazil. The sandwich sauce is made by one of our sauce suppliers in Lancashire and the shredded iceberg lettuce is predominantly sourced from the UK during the lettuce growing season, and from Spain in the autumn and winter months. However, there is also a small percentage from Holland, Morocco and France. You can find out more about McDonald’s food at www.mcdonalds.co.uk and then clicking on the ‘Food’ tab. (May 2011)

3. Could you please tell me how the Chicken and Bacon Supreme is made, starting from how the chicken patty is made from the chicken in the farm to when it's made into a burger to serve to the customers. Could it please include the delivery, storage times and ambient of the ingredients. Thank you.
Thank you for your question. We think you are referring to the Chicken and Bacon Legend which is currently on the McDonald’s UK menu. The Chicken Legend consists of a 100 percent chicken breast meat patty. The Legend’s breast fillet is coated in a crispy coating that is infused with seasoning and spices and served in a rustic brown roll and garnished with Batavia lettuce. With regards to the chickens, the chickens used for meat in McDonald’s products are called broilers, and are not free-range, but are reared under conditions that meet standards set and monitored by the Assured Chicken Production regulations. All suppliers that work with McDonald's must adhere to these standards and procedures as well as McDonald's own strict protocols. If you would like to find out more information about the meat used in McDonald’s UK and the processes involved then please follow the Quality Scout investigations that are live on this site. Just follow the ‘Quality Scouts’ link for behind-the-scenes reports and films from farms that supply McDonald’s UK. (February 2010)
