1. Please share which type of coffee you use. McDonalds coffee is the best. I would like to make it at home, and I will still shop Mcdonalds....smoothies are delicious.
Thank you for question. We are glad to hear you enjoy McDonald’s coffee so much. McDonald’s UK Full Bean™ is made using 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified Arabica Beans. McDonald’s coffee is blended and roasted to a specific McDonald's specification, and is therefore only available in McDonald's restaurants. (January 2011)

2. I'm trying to find out about your coffee suppliers in the UK, i've found the coffee used is resteraunts are rainforest alliance full bean Arabica beans. Is full BEAN tm the supplier as i can not find any information about this manuacturer. if your suppliers cater specifically for macdonalds have you thought about maybe selling packaged beans so that people can enjoy the coffee when they can not get to a branch i.e at work. ? Regards Dan
Thank you for question. Full Bean™ is McDonald's coffee brand and not our coffee supplier, the supplier for McDonald’s UK coffee is United Coffee (formally Gala). They currently roast our coffee at their site in Kent. McDonald’s coffee is roasted to a specific McDonald's specification, and is therefore only available in McDonald's restaurants. If you would like to take you idea further please get in touch with the Customer Services Team, you can email them by using the 'Contact Us' link on www.mcdonalds.co.uk (December 2010) (December 2010)

3. Hi there. All the questions bar 1 seem 2B negative comments. But mine is very much a complement. Your Latte's & Cappuccino’s are the nicest I've ever had! I love them, so much so, that I have tried frantically yet unsuccessfully to buy it in the shops. Ive tried all Kenco's coffee & none of them are even close to yours. Would you consider selling me a few jars worth? I would be willing to pay a slightly higher price for it 2. I would still be spending lots on burgers which I get 4+ times a week. Please it’s Christmas!
Thank you for your feedback McDonald’s is pleased to hear that you have been enjoying its range of hot drinks. The great taste of McDonald’s UK Full Bean freshly ground coffee is achieved by using Arabica coffee beans specially selected from sustainable farms certified by the Rainforest Alliance combined with organic semi-skimmed milk sourced from farms in Britain and Ireland. Unfortunately all the food and drink available is prepared and sold exclusively through McDonald’s restaurants and is not for sale outside of these. (Jan 2010)

4. Have the recent coffee additions been a shot to take on any other companies (oh, I dunno, Starbucks)? Also, was the similar appearance from the label to the coffee itself been intentional?
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s does not think it appropriate to comment directly on its competitors. However McDonald’s UK are very proud that ALL of our coffee and tea is Rainforest Alliance Certified. We will continue our efforts to make customers aware of the great quality, ethics and taste of our coffee, which will hopefully drive awareness of the Rainforest Alliance partnership. (April 2010)

5. Yesterday I decided to try a cappuccino at one of you restaurants, the cup was only 2/3 full, the rest was foam. I went ahead and drank it the way it was but later asked for the cup to be half filled with regular coffee at which point the employee refused me. My question is this. How much does it really cost McDonald's for half a cup of coffee and is it really worth loosing a customer over? I won't be returning to any of your restaurants any time soon. Thank you.
Thank you for your question. All of the machines at McDonald’s UK restaurants are set to prepare a fixed amount for each drink. Restaurant staff cannot change any of these settings; the service company can only do this. As you probably know, cappuccino is made with hot, frothy milk, which does settle and reduce in volume if mixed in or left to stand. This can make the drink appear smaller, but this is one of the characteristics of this type of coffee. With regards to your second question McDonald’s is sure you’ll appreciate that the exact breakdown of the kind of financial information you are asking for is highly confidential and the company doesn’t release it. 6. I am always getting small amounts of cappuccino in my large cup. I have just bought one from Redditch and the cup is only 50% full. I have asked how much coffee should be in the cup and the staff do not know. I have asked what the yellow line is for on the outside of the cup, and again the staff do not know. The amount of money McDonalds is taking off its customers for short measures throughout the world must be incredible. Have you any intention of addressing this?
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s is sorry to hear that you have had an unsatisfactory experience at one of its restaurants. All of the machines at McDonald’s UK restaurants are set to prepare a fixed amount for each drink and each size. Restaurant staff cannot change any of these settings; it is only the service company, which can do this. If you ever feel unhappy with a McDonald's Cappuccino then please raise this with the restaurant manager, who can determine whether the fill levels of the machine have been correctly set up.
