1. Ok I've read all the replies about the change of shape of the McChicken Sandwich, but if you made the filling round, why is the bun tear-shaped? You end up with a lump of tasteless bread with no filling? Why not just make it round?
Firstly apologies for the slow reply to your question. There have been some recent technical updates to the site, and a few questions slipped through in the process. However, the team are now back on track. Although the old bun for the McChicken Sandwich was tear-shaped, the new one is round.

2. I had a McChicken Sandwich yesterday, but noticed it had a slightly peppery taste compared to its usual taste, is this a new thing, or was it just a mistake with my food?
There has been no change to the McChicken Sandwich recipe or ingredients. The only difference is that it is now cooked in a new non-hydrogenated blend of rapeseed and sunflower oil. (August 2007) FEBRUARY '08 UPDATE: McDonald’s UK now do not use any hydrogenated oil in any food items across the entire menu

4. Is It true that once for the mayonnaise in the mcchicken sandwich semen was used instead? i am very worried please answer...!
No, this is a tall story. The McChicken Sandwich is actually made with a special sandwich sauce, not specifically mayonnaise. The ingredients are water, vegetable oil, sugar, spirit vinegar, modified maize starch, egg yolk, stabiliser E415 (xanthan gum), lemon juice, salt, mustard seed, preservative E202 (potassium sorbate), onion concentrate (onion extractives (96 percent), glycerides, soya lecithin, lactic acid), garlic powder, white pepper, colour (curcumin) and spice extract. A full list of ingredients for all the Menu items available at McDonald's is available at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. Just click on the `Eat Smart` section and go to the `Ingredients List` for more information. (June 2007)

5. Why do you put so much lettuce on McChicken Sandwiches and very little Mayo.
As with all McDonald’s sandwiches, the McChicken Sandwich is made with very specific amounts of lettuce and mayonnaise. These proportions have been developed over many years through listening to customers. If you would like one with less lettuce and more mayonnaise, please ask for this when you order and the staff will be happy to make one up for you. Please bear in mind that you might have to wait a little longer for your order to be completed.
