Thanks for your question. A McDonald’s Mayo Chicken sandwich is made using a regular bun, McDonald's mayo, shredded iceberg lettuce, and a mayo chicken patty, which is made using chicken breast meat. You can find the ingredient declarations for our whole menu by visiting the Food pages of our website www.mcdonalds.co.uk and clicking on Nutrition & Ingredients. (May 2011)

No, this is a tall story. The McChicken Sandwich is actually made with a special sandwich sauce, not specifically mayonnaise. The ingredients are water, vegetable oil, sugar, spirit vinegar, modified maize starch, egg yolk, stabiliser E415 (xanthan gum), lemon juice, salt, mustard seed, preservative E202 (potassium sorbate), onion concentrate (onion extractives (96 percent), glycerides, soya lecithin, lactic acid), garlic powder, white pepper, colour (curcumin) and spice extract.
A full list of ingredients for all the Menu items available at McDonald's is available at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. Just click on the `Eat Smart` section and go to the `Ingredients List` for more information.
