1. Do your milkshakes contain pig fat to make them thick and creamy? does your secret sauce contain a blood preservative? Do Mcflurries contain more fat than icecream? At any point do you use Zebu in your food? Have an staff in your restaurant ever been convicted/fired/disiplined for spitting or urinating in the food?
Thanks for your question. We are not sure where these rumours come from but they are not true. Our milkshakes do not contain any pig fat, the Big Mac sauce does not contain any type of blood preservative, the McFlurry provides 11 to 16 grams of fat per portion depending on the topping used; and we do not use Zebu in any of our products. As for any staff related issues these are dealt with the store manager and HR. 3. I've recently been told that McDonald's McFlurrys are not suitable for vegetarians. Being a vegetarian myself, I was just wondering what exactly is in Mcflurrys?
Thanks for your question. The Crunchie and Dairy Milk McFlurry desserts are suitable for vegetarians. The Smartie McFlurry is not suitable. Although the ice cream contains no ingredients of animal origin the Smarties contain whey powder which the supplier cannot guarantee is free from animal rennet. The vegetarian status of all our standard menu items can be found on the reverse of the trayliner in the restaurants. A full list of what's suitable for vegetarian consumption, along with comprehensive nutritional breakdowns for all McDonald's items is available online at www.mcdonaldsmenu.info (December 2010)

4. Why they don't you make Dairy Milk®, Crunchie® and Smarties® McFlurries properly anymore? You just put the standard ice cream and then pour the topping on. They used to mix it all up properly using the little machine with the spoon attached. Now I just see them scoop some ice cream in, put some topping on. Then stick a spoon in. Not good enough
McDonald's is sorry that you have received some unsatisfactory McFlurries recently. When you purchase a McFlurry, the ice cream should be "flurried" i.e. mixed with the topping of your choice for at least five seconds. If your McFlurry is not correctly mixed in future, please bring this to the attention of the manager on duty, who will be able to look into the matter there and then.

5. Hi I want to know who supply McDonalds with ice cream equipment or does McDonalds design their equipment?
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s UK ice cream machines are supplied by two main manufacturers; Taylor and Carpigiani. McDonald’s have at least eight different models from these suppliers in use throughout the UK. (October 2009)

6. In the last six months or so every time I order a McFlurry it is not even half full - more a squirt of icecream! It does not seem good value at all. Are they meant to be smaller portions? Is it a cost-cutting measure?
McDonald's apologises for the unsatisfactory McFlurries you have received recently. The McFlurry cup should always be full and the ice cream should be mixed with the topping of your choice for at least five seconds. If you are unhappy with your next McFlurry purchase or any food item that you have ordered, then McDonald's encourages you to bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager, who will be happy to arrange a fresh order for you.
