- 1. McDonald`s no longer uses E120 cochineal as a colouring in the Strawberry Milkshakes. The new colouring is a beetroot juice concentrate (E162). It is a natural extraxt of beetroot so the Strawberry Milkshakes are now suitable for vegetarians. (May 2007 ok i agree as a vegetarian thiis a better option BUT why not use strawberrys as natural flavrouing must be better! than putting somting basicaly people wouldent dream of eating with milk after all its a strawberry milkshake
-
McDonald's agrees that a strawberry milkshake should contain strawberries, and McDonald's strawberry milkshakes do indeed contain strawberries.
The recipe makes use of a natural colour added to the strawberry syrup. Just relying on the strawberry juice concentrate to impart colour to the product would make it browner, and less appetising, due to natural breakdown processes.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 2. is it true that there is cooking oil in the milkshake in mcdonalds
-
No, this is not true. Each McDonald's milkshake will have slightly different ingredients depending on its flavour but all milkshakes are made up of around 75 percent of milk, which comes from the British Isles. The remaining 25 percent is made up of the additional ingredients required to ensure that the milkshakes remain fresh and the flavour ordered. A full list of ingredients for McDonald’s milkshakes, a long with any other McDonald’s food items, can be found online in the 'Ingredients List' which is in the 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. do you get spotty when you work at mcdonalds? is the milkshakes melted ice cream?
-
Many young people as well as older people suffer from spots or have skin problems at some point in their lives. This doesn’t happen to people who work at McDonald’s any more than it does to people working in other places of employment. Regarding the Milkshakes, McDonald's has a different recipe for milkshakes and ice cream. Both are made from 80 percent milk but the other ingredients differ, as does the exact milk and cream content. Milkshake mix: Milk, sugar, whey powder, glucose syrup, cream (40 percent butterfat), stabiliser: guar gum E412, carrageenan E407 (standardised with sugars), dextrose, and locust bean gum E410. Ice Cream mix: Skimmed milk, cream (35 percent butterfat), sugar, whey powder, glucose syrup, stabiliser: guar gum E412, mono and diglycerides of fatty acids E471, flavouring, carrageenan E407 (standardised with sugars), and dextrose.

-
McDonald’s UK is not aware of any staff member behaving in his way, but any specific allegations of unhygienic behaviour would be taken very seriously. McDonald’s takes great care to make sure that food isn’t contaminated in any way, and if you were to witness behaviour like this you should inform the restaurant manager or Customer Services immediately so that it can be investigated. Any staff caught behaving in this way would be dismissed.

-
No, this is absolutely not true. Each McDonald's milkshake will have slightly different ingredients depending on its flavour, but all milkshakes are made up of a base of around 75 percent milk, which comes from cows across the British Isles. The rest of the ingredients for the base before any flavouring is added are: Milk, skimmed milk, cream, sugar, skimmed milk powder, and glucose. Stabilisers: E412 guar gum, E452 sodium phosphate, E407 carrageenan, E466 carboxymethylcellulose and vanilla flavour. If you would like any further details on the milkshakes or indeed any item on the McDonald's menu, all food, ingredients and nutritional information are available online in the 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

-
McDonald's does not make its milkshakes using a powder, so if you are trying to recreate McDonald's Milkshakes as a powder then you will find it virtually impossible. All McDonald's Milkshakes are made up from around 75 percent fresh dairy milk, sourced from British dairy farms. The flavouring of the different milkshakes is made with syrup that is added to the milk base. Specialist equipment is also used to get the right consistency and ice crystals. The full ingredients for all McDonald's Milkshakes can be found at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. Click on the 'Eat Smart' section, and then click on the 'Ingredients List' link.

-
McDonald's is pleased to hear you like its milkshakes. They are the result of a lot of listening to its customers, ensuring quality ingredients (all the milk comes from British dairies) and careful preparation. The full ingredients for the Milkshakes, and all other McDonald's food items, are available online at www.mcdonalds.co.uk in the 'Eat Smart' section.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 11. I do enjoy the Mcdonalds milkshakes, but there seems to be no consistency on how liquid or solid they are, I like a thick shake but more often these days I keep getting given very liquified/overly melted ones which are not nice at all. Seeing as these are delivered via a machine, is there any way to ensure the consistency?
-
McDonald’s milkshakes should be served thick. They should not be watery or thin, and the consistency should be similar every time you order one. If you feel that this is not the case, then please raise this with your local restaurant manager, so the problem can be looked into. Alternatively you can call the Customer Services team on 08705 244 622.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 13. if you sell 100% organic semi scimmed milk in your stores how do you not use organic milk in your milkshakes?
-
Organic milk is still a relatively small industry in the UK and McDonald's simply can't find a supplier that can meet the high volume demands. The company is in talks with the dairy industry about how it can facilitate more farmers switching to organic but, until the organic food supply chain can guarantee that it can supply the required amount, McFlurries, Sundaes and Milkshakes will continue to be made from non-organic milk from the British Isles. The use of organic milk has extended in restaurants recently to include coffee and hot chocolate. (May 2007)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 14. does your milkshake include beatles?
-
McDonald's Strawberry Milkshake used to contain E120 cochineal, which is a natural colour sourced from animals, making this unsuitable for vegetarians or those concerned about products of animal origin. But you will be happy to know that McDonald's no longer uses this ingredient. The colouring used is a beetroot juice concentrate (E162) which is a natural extract of beetroot which makes the Strawberry Milkshake suitable for all to enjoy. (May 2007)
