1. How are the pancakes made, are they bought in and where do they come from, where/what is the factory like that they are made in?
Thank you for your question. Although on a much larger scale, McDonald’s UK pancakes are made using a similar method as you would use at home. The ingredients are sieved, mixed and deposited onto a hot plate. One side of the pancake is cooked and then it's flipped over to cook the other side. After the pancakes are cool, they are packaged in plastic wrappers in bundles of 6 and blast frozen. This freezes the pancakes very quickly to ensure excellent quality is maintained. The pancakes come into McDonald’s restaurants frozen and are thawed for 12 hours before being heated in a microwave and served to our customers for breakfast. For a full list of ingredients you can visit the ingredients list, which is in the 'Nutrition and Ingredients' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.
