Thanks for your question. The reason we don't serve breakfast all day is due to the fact that the Universal Holding Cabinet (UHC) during the day is almost at full capacity and there is nowhere to store breakfast products as well as main menu items. Of course, it is up to the discretion of the franchisee manager if they want to offer a breakfast option throughout the day. (February 2011)

Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. why on sunday the 2nd of january did we go to two mcdonalds in the middlesborough area first one at ten thirty and the other at ten forty five only to be told they had stopped serving breakfast i understand on sundays you served breakfast until 11 oclock we were very dissapointed they where four of us in our group and not one of us wanted chips and things any way we all went to asda on portrack lane and had breakfast there they serve till 12 oclock

Thanks for your question. We are sorry to hear of your experience, however breakfast ending times do vary at McDonald’s restaurants and most of our restaurants stop serving breakfast at 10.30. There are a few restaurants who serve breakfast until 11am on a Sunday only. Please contact the restaurant about their opening times to avoid disappointment. (January 2011)

From my questioning of staff at one store I frequent, the facility for heating the oats so simple is not really used later in the day, if I heard right. If that is the case, could we have the porridge available outside of breakfast time as it yummy (I actually prefer to have it without the syrup, sugar or jam which makes it that much more healthy)

Thank you for your question. McDonalds is pleased to hear that you enjoy the Breakfast menu. Currently we don't use the microwave for the main menu but we have in the past and may do in the future. Also, at present there is not a a great demand for porridge on the main menu. Thank you for your question. McDonald’s Breakfast menu is available in all McDonald's restaurants. There are differences in the time that the Breakfast menu is offered - as some restaurants have different opening times. In general McDonald’s restaurants will serve breakfast from opening time until 10.30am everyday. At present, the majority of McDonald’s restaurants are only fitted with enough grills to cook certain menus at certain times. Finishing the breakfast menu at 10.30am gives the crew plenty of time to prepare the kitchen area for the main menu, ensuring that they are ready for the busy lunch time period. However McDonald’s understands why this can be frustrating and can only offer its apologies. With regards to the Big Mac sauce, the exact composition is a well-kept secret, but the ingredients are water, vegetable oil, gherkins, sugar, vinegar, modified corn starch, egg yolk, spices, fructose, salt, stabiliser E415 xanthan gum, preservative E202 potassium sorbate and some spice extracts.

Apart from Sundays the Breakfast menu Breakfast has always been served until 11am. The reason for this is primarily down to operational factors. This means that the grills can only be used to cook one menu at certain times in order to prevent meat cross contamination. Thus during the morning the breakfast menu is available and for the rest of the day the main menu. Finishing the breakfast menu at 10.30am gives the crew plenty of time to prepare the kitchen area for the main menu, ensuring that they are ready for the busy lunch time period. This also enables the crew to focus on producing great tasting food of a high standard rather than compromising quality by time restraints. However McDonald’s understands why this can be frustrating and can only offer its apologies. With regards to the Big Breakfast it is still available.

Should you place your order prior to 10.30 then staff should be willing to serve you items from the breakfast menu. As a rule McDonald’s does not charge for pancake syrup as it comes as part of some meal options. However, some franchisees may charge for extra pots.

Sorry to bring bad news, but uncooked products aren’t available to be purchased from restaurants. Like all McDonald’s UK products, the Sausage patties are manufactured by top class suppliers for the exclusive use of McDonald’s.

Thank you for your question. McDonald’s UK stop serving breakfast at 10.30am, this is because McDonald's use the same grills for both its main menu and the breakfast menu, so it is not possible to have both menus running at the same time.

Thank you for your question. McDonald’s apologises for any inconvenience however, McDonald's uses the same grills for both its main menu and the breakfast menu, so it is not possible to have both menus running at the same time. The sausage and beef patties cook at different temperatures and times, and therefore the grill settings need changing and thorough cleaning. This means that breakfast needs to finish at 10.30am so that food can be cooked for the main menu.
