- 1. You say that you are unable to continue breakfast past 10.30 as the same grills are used and different temps are required for sausage and burger patties, so why can’t you get separate grills so the breakfast time can be extended and everyone is happy?? Obviously this would mean you spending money but surely it would benefit in the long run as you would be giving the customers what they want.

Thank you for your question. In fact, this is not so much a cost issue (though obviously this is a factor), but more an operational one. The majority of McDonald's restaurants were not originally designed to include extra grills being fitted, so this makes it difficult for McDonald's to physically accommodate them. Equally, a McDonald's restaurant and crew can only produce a certain amount of products at once without compromising on quality.

As a rule McDonald’s does not charge for pancake syrup as it comes as part of some meal options. However, some franchisees may charge for extra pots.

Hi, i understand why you cant sell breakfast meals all day due to cleaning the cooking equipment, but, perhaps mcdonalds should consider opening allday breakfast stores, small outlets at perhaps railway stations etc. Mcdonalds breakfasts are possibly the best of all the fast food chains and i think there missing out on a massive oppurtunity, especially when people ask loads about having breakfast meals later on in the day.

The company would like to assure you that McDonald's strives hard to serve only the highest quality food quickly and efficiently and to offer the menu which is scheduled at that time. The majority of McDonald’s restaurants now serve breakfast until 10.30am in answer to consumer demand. However, this area is continually being monitored and the company will adhere to customer feedback as appropriate.

At McDonald's, the grills used to prepare the breakfast menu are the same grills used for the main menu. With this in mind, the kitchen team needs to begin the process of preparing them for the main menu at an appropriate time for the busy lunchtime period.

As this website is operated by McDonald's UK, its primary aim is to discuss issues relating to restaurants in the UK. However depending on the facilities of the restaurant kitchens and availability of ingredients, some restaurants may not be able to provide the breakfast menu.

This means that breakfast needs to finish at 10.30 so that food can be cooked for the main menu.

All McDonald's restaurants follow the same operating procedures, and you’re right, remaining breakfast items that are not sold do get thrown away after 10.30am. However, McDonald's works hard to minimise the amount of food waste from its restaurants. The company monitors the amount of food sold throughout each day, and the restaurants use this information to ensure that they only order and prepare the amount of food that is likely to be sold. As a result McDonald's restaurants waste less than one percent of their food stock.

McDonald’s UK currently has no plans to refurbish restaurants with the extra grills necessary to provide all day breakfast menus. However this is something that may be considered in the future.

McDonald’s uses the same grills for the main menu as the breakfast menu, so it is not possible to have both running at the same time. Breakfast runs till 10.30, so Big Mac patties cannot be cooked before then – sorry.

But McDonald’s use the same grills for their main menu as well as the breakfast menu and so it is not possible to have both menus running at the same time.
