What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 2. I have recently been given 5 bin bags, full of happy meal toys collected by friends and folks at a local school. My daughter is activly involved with a christian run orphanage in Tanzania and would like to use these to raise money at a fund raising event, for the project. They are thinking of putting them in a lucky dip tub and charging for a go. Would Macdonalds or anyone else have any objections for them being used in this way. Many thanks Neil
-
No objections here, good luck with it all.

Thank you very much for your touching and remarkable post, it sounds like you have quite a collection there. Unfortunately the site is currently unable to promote any personal projects. However, thanks to people like you who have an interest in McDonald's, the site is constantly changing and in the future things may change if users want to see new ideas implemented. Until that time, McDonald's wishes you and your wife all the very best.

We notice that many of these animals hang around outside your outlets in Skopje. What support to this charity can be offered and how obtained (talking to Mak staff wastes time because of corruption).

Thanks for your question. As you may be aware, the Make Up Your Own Mind web site is operated by McDonald's UK, and as such deals with issues relating to the United Kingdom. However, you can find contact details for McDonald's restaurants around the world, or the McDonald's Corporation, at www.mcdonalds.com.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 5. Do you still award grants or funds to children with special needs who need specialist equipment?
-
The McDonald’s charity, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) proudly ran a grants programme for many years. This programme enabled the company to help many children and causes alongside its main focus, which is the provision of accommodation for families with children receiving in-patient care at hospital and hospices across the UK. To date, RMHC accommodation can be found in nearly 40 hospitals across the UK, providing over 300 bedrooms a night for families to stay in. The success of the RMHC and the demand for further accommodation continues to grow, and because of this the trustees of RMHC took the difficult decision to end its grants programme in 2005 in order to focus all of the charity's resources into providing this much needed accommodation. McDonald’s is sorry if this decision causes any disappointment.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 6. I was wondering, given that McDonald's urges it's customers to donate to Ronald Mc Donald House Charity, and given that Mc Donald's gets quite a bit of kudos out of it,how much does Mc Donald's itself donate?
-
Through the generous donations from customers via the collection boxes in restaurants, the purchase of RMHC merchandise such as Christmas cards and staff fund-raising events, McDonald's has raised over 30 million pounds over the last 20 years. This has enabled the charity to open 12 Ronald McDonald's Houses and 26 sets of Ronald McDonald Family Rooms across the country. The company also covers all the administration costs for the charity ensuring that every penny donated goes straight to work on behalf of the people that need it. For further information on the charity's work, please log onto http://www.rmhc.org.uk/index.php. (July 2007)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7. what are the other activities done by this company towards the society
-
McDonald's has a lot of community involvement and gives back millions of pounds to local areas. For example, the company invests in football through partnerships with local clubs, schools, youth teams and junior leagues. It also organises community litter pick-ups and endeavours to fulfil requests for support from community groups and schools. This year McDonald's has been working closely with the Carbon Trust, evaluating further options for reducing the company's carbon footprint, through energy-related projects and initiatives in the restaurants. The company also supports Ronald McDonald House Charities. This aims to provide free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children in hospital. Over the last 20 years, the company has raised over 30 million pounds through the collection boxes in restaurants, the sale of merchandise such as Christmas cards as well as staff fund-raising. -
McDonald's sponsors and supports many charities, clubs and events at a local and national level. Too many to individually list them all. However McDonald's supports its nominated charity, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) that provides accommodation free of charge to the families of sick children in hospital. McDonald's covers all of the overheads of the RMHC so that every penny raised goes directly to the cause. You can also help raise money for RMHC by putting your spare change in the boxes on the front counter.

The first McDonald's restaurant in the UK opened its doors in 1974 at a site in Woolwich, South East London. (In the US, the rights to the franchise were bought in 1954 by Ray Kroc from the McDonald's brothers who founded a McDonald's restaurant in San Bernadino, California in 1948.)
The company's main charity is Ronald McDonald House Charities which aims to provide free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children in hospital. And finally, McDonald's doesn't offer discount vouchers - sorry.

The toys are stored either at the restaurant or the distribution centre. When there is a gap between specific promotions, McDonald’s uses this stock from previous promotions in the Happy Meals.
