2. i when i was drinking my drink i noticed that the icecubes in it were hollow and that the cup was full of the ice, do you do this to rip us off and not use much of the drink
Sorry for the slow reply to your question, it seems that your question slipped through and the team apologises for any inconvenience that may have occurred. Ice is put into all soft drinks served from the fountain. If you would prefer no ice in your drink, then just let the staff member serving you know, and they will be happy to prepare your drink without ice cubes.

3. I love McDonalds shakes and was excited to hear about the Rolo flavour. I got one at the soonest opportunity and it exceeded all my expectations! HOWEVER, some time later I bought another only to find it tasted slightly of banana. Undeterred I tried a third and horrifically I had the same problem again. Now, I find myself in turmoil as I am desparate to rediscover the delight of my first time. However, I find it too great a risk, in case of another banana incident. Please advise!
McDonald's apologises that your experience with the promotional Rolo Milkshake has been less than satisfactory. There's no reason why your Rolo Milkshake should have tasted like banana. Each milkshake is made fresh once ordered so it should arrive with you in perfect condition. If this happens with any future milkshakes (apart from banana ones!), please contact the Customer Service Team on 08705 244622 or alternatively please talk to the restaurant manager who should be happy to replace or refund the cost of this item. 4. Why are you offering the free coca cola glasses only with LARGE meals, and not regular meals? Isn't this promoting excess eating / obesity, and as we know, this is having severe health consequences? I would say McDonalds: 'promoter of obesity' with this type of promotion, surely not good for your image?
Our apologies for the late reply to your question but McDonald's disagrees that it is promoting obesity. The offer of a Limited Edition Coca-Cola glass was open to all customers who purchased any large Extra Value Meal, Large Deli Meal, or any of the Premium Salads. The Premium Salads and the Deli Meals provide customers with a range of choices which includes lower fat options. Customers can choose from a range of beverages which include Vittel Mineral Water, Tropicana Orange Juice and Organic Semi-Skimmed milk, plus the option of swapping French Fries for a Side Salad. Nutritional information is also available on the reverse of trayliners in restaurants and comprehensively at www.mcdonaldsmenu.info to help customers make better informed decisions about what they eat. 5. Isn't Rainforest Alliance coffee a soft option? Unlike FairTrade, Rainforest Alliance does not guarantee a minimum price for the grower's crop.
No it's not. McDonald's chose to switch to Kenco Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee because the programme takes a holistic approach to supply chain sustainability. Rainforest Alliance certification focuses on the way that coffee farms are managed, whereas Fairtrade emphasises how products are traded. Farmers in the Rainforest Alliance programme benefit economically, because they learn to control costs and farm more efficiently. The programme helps increase productivity, meaning more coffee to sell, and in most cases, it helps improve quality, meaning the coffee commands a higher price. Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee generally brings a significant premium over the market price. Protecting the environment and treating workers well brings economic benefits. For example, preserving forest patches on the farm increases the supply of fresh water and provides homes for pollinating insects, which can increase the harvest. For more information you can visit the Rainforest Alliance website at www.rainforest-alliance.org.

8. Do McDonalds still offer free refills on coffee drinks purchased? I have found one or two restaurants who don't do this any more whilst others I visit still do. Is this now a rule that is at the descretion of the manager?
Supplying free coffee refills is at the discretion of individual restaurant managers, and is not currently a company policy. McDonald's does, however, have a coffee scheme on the coffee cups whereby you receive one free coffee once you've purchased six. (July 2007)

9. Why is your juices never full to the top? I don't like ice in my juice and it is anoying when i get it because it is always half full and never has the proper amont it says it should. this is not just at 1 resturant but at all the resturants that i go to. I dont want to spend money on something i am only getting half off. please answer my question as i would like a respond. thanks Claire.
Sorry to hear about your disappointment. Orange Juice on the menu at McDonald's is now supplied by Tropicana and comes bottled when delivered to the restaurant. All drinks that are from the drinks towers, and are contained in McDonald's cups are filled to a recommended serving line that has been placed there with the consideration of over spill, and the further volume created when ice is added to the drink. If you do not want ice in your drink, they should still be filled to that line. If this is not the case on your visits, please contact Customer Services on 08705 244622. (June 2007)

11. I don't think McDonalds soft drinks taste the same as coke/fanta/sprite you buy in the shops, it's a bit sickening to be honest. Do you make your own with some sort of syrup mixture?
The carbonated soft drinks in the restaurants, such as Coca Cola, are all freshly made to order. The machines contain the constituent ingredients of syrup and carbonated water, which is blended once an order is taken. All the syrups for the carbonated drinks are supplied by Coca Cola including Coke, Diet Coke, Fanta and Sprite. All the drinks machines in McDonald’s are checked every week by the management teams to ensure the highest possible standard of product. The syrup is refilled frequently and the machines are regularly audited by Coca Cola. (June 2007)

13. Do you serve decaffinated tea or do you plan to
So far there hasn’t really been a great demand for decaf tea from customers but McDonald’s likes to keep an eye on customer requests and would be happy to look into the possibility of supplying this in the future if demand increased. Your idea will be passed on to the McDonald’s customer services team so that they are aware of your ideas for future menu items.

15. Why do you continually use water at a higher temperature than is actually needed? This has obviously led to a number of children being scolded.
McDonald’s only uses water at the temperature required to make or brew drinks. The water temperature is carefully controlled, and is actually slightly cooler than water you would use at home from a kettle.
