What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 2. can you walk through a drive through and still get served?
-
McDonald’s supports the health and environmental benefits of walking. However, it is not the company’s practice to serve pedestrians using the drive-thru lane and service windows. This is because the drive-thru facility is designed for motor vehicles and, on balance, the company is concerned that use by pedestrians could compromise their personal safety. In reaching this view McDonald’s has consulted with its own Hygiene and Safety Department, the Highway Code, and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. what is window 2 for at the drive thru?? some drive thru`s have 3 windows, in this instance what is window 2 for?????
-
Thank you for your question and sorry for our slow response - unfortunately your question seems to have slipped through the records. Window One is for placing your order; Two for payment; Three for collection of this order. However, in a large number of McDonald's drive-thrus, this process has been speeded up by taking both the order and the payment at Window One, thus negating the need for Window Two. Or the order is taken on a hand held ordering unit before cars arrive at Window One where payment is then made - again negating the need for Window Two.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 5. Why do you print on your receipts "please check food is hot and fresh before leaving the drive-through" Surely this your staffs job to ensure the food is hot and fresh? One of the benefits of using a drive-through is to take the food home, I don't think pulling out of the drive-through, parking my car, unpacking my food, checking its hot and fresh, repacking my food and leaving is acceptable. Does this mean at times McDonalds sells cold, unfresh food?
-
Sincere apologies from the team for the late reply to your question.
No, this doesn't mean that McDonald's sells cold food that isn't fresh. And yes, crew members should ensure that orders are correct. However, McDonald's crew member’s deal with two million customers per day and, like any restaurant, might sometimes get orders a little bit wrong, particularly during busy periods. So if you have time to check your order and that you're happy with it, McDonald's does encourage you to do so before you leave.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 6. this Thursday I bought a large coke @ the drive thru. Iwould have taken it back but I was too far gone when Ifound out it was flat and the mix was very off.How do you take care of situations like this?
-
McDonald's apologises for your flat drink. The company's machines use Coca-Cola syrup which is added to water and then carbonated. While it is not possible to guarantee 100 percent consistency all the time, the machines are regularly audited by Coca-Cola to ensure the drinks meet with customers’ expectations. If you are not happy with your drink, please speak to the restaurant staff or call Customer Services on 08705 244622.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 9. Also I am getting fed up with asking for my special order at a drive through and then finding when getting home etc that it is a standard meal with all the horrible stuff I dislike and end up throwing the meal away thus costing me the price of the meal. This has happened so many times that I have lost count and would like compensated in some way for it
-
Like any restaurant, McDonald's staff sometimes get orders a little bit wrong, particularly during busy periods. It shouldn't happen very often though, so maybe you've just had bad luck. If you do ever get the wrong order please just return it to the service area and they should be happy to replace or refund it for you.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 11. Why is there only one drive-thru? The queues are always so long
-
Owing to space and capacity requirements, McDonald's UK restaurants operate a single drive-thru lane facility. However, at a number of restaurants during busy periods, you will often find additional services in the drive-thru system, such as remote order points and hand held order units operated by McDonald's crew members, aimed at speeding up the service.

-
Sorry if you feel that you have received slow service at a Drive Thru. McDonald's aims to serve customers visiting a Drive Thru in three and a half minutes, but this can vary depending on how busy the restaurant is and how many cars are in the queue.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 13. I have never once been greeted at a McDonald's drive thru kindly. In 20 years, I've never been greeted "thank you for choosing McDonald's" or something to that effect. I always get greeted with something along the lines of "what do you want" or "hold on". Don't you think this is rude?
-
Sorry to hear about your experience. McDonald's takes pride in having excellent employees and staff attitude is extremely important to the company. For over a year and a half, the ‘Hire the Smile' employee recruitment programme has been in place which involves two interviews for each job candidate, and an on- job assessment that looks at staff attitude and customer service skills. McDonald's UK is also an accredited Investor in People and has employee recognition awards in place in many restaurants such as employee of the month, quarter and year to help keep staff motivated. If you wish to make a further complaint, you should either talk to the restaurant manager, or call Customer Services on 08705 244622 so that this can be fully investigated. (June 2007)
