McDonald's carries out an annual survey for all employees, addressing their satisfaction levels and any areas where they feel that improvement and progress can be made. This data is for internal use only and the company hopes that you will understand that in the interests of privacy cannot be revealed on this site. With regard to your final inquiry, restaurants have the freedom to plan crew events as they wish, but the expectation from the company is a minimum of two a year.

Depending on the role you are applying for, you may be asked anything from competency to situational questions. Unfortunately, not much more can be said here, as this would defeat the object of a fair and balanced interview.

Yes, the Working Time Directive states that under 17s should finish work by 10pm. This requirement has been built into McDonald's scheduling software to ensure only the appropriate hours are worked by the company's younger employees.

-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
All McDonald's employees are entitled to a meal allowance for each shift that they work. The Head Office staff restaurant is often used to trial and test new menu items. Of course, employees can choose to eat elsewhere should they wish. However, if they decide to eat on site the menu offers enough options for employees to enjoy variety each day.

-
Firstly, many apologies for the very slow response to your question. The site has been through a few changes and some questions slipped through the net, so thank you for your patience. McDonald’s has an HR Helpline that assists all employees should they have concerns about employment issues or practices. However, in the first instance McDonald’s recommends that any employee speaks with their restaurant manager or franchisee to resolve any concerns.

-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
Thanks for your interest in this matter. McDonald's staff training is conducted in the restaurants by managers and experienced employees known as Crew Trainers.
Basic safety information, including manual handling, is covered by induction training for all new employees and included on refresher training as well. McDonald's works with suppliers and delivery companies to minimise the amount of manual handling required.
External trainers are not used for any part of the Crew Development Programme.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 165. just wondering if you provide any type of training, for those who work in your offices.
-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
Yes. Training is a key part of the success of McDonald's and the company is well aware of its importance. For staff working in McDonald's offices, a full prospectus of training is available, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, team building, report writing, time management and presentation skills. McDonald's invests in its staff, and in 2006, launched www.ourlounge.co.uk. This unique career-lifestyle web site enables all staff to log on and plug their skills gaps with the support of an online tutor. Staff can then gain nationally recognised Level 1 and 2 qualifications in accredited exam centre restaurants.
During 2007, McDonald’s also invested £15 million in training. 17,000 employees passed through company training centres and over 30,000 employees received hospitality training. McDonald’s has actually featured in the The Times' 'Top 100 Graduate Employers' list for the last eight years, and recently won the Financial Times' 'Best Workplaces UK' award.
