You will be happy to know that McDonald's no longer sells the supersize option in the UK because there weren't many customers taking up the offer. By the time Super Sizing was stopped it accounted for less than 0.1 percent of all UK sales. However it seems fair to point out that even when Supersize options were available, this is exactly what they were - options. Small, regular and standard large sizes were also available so customers were able to make their own choice of size.

Across the world, McDonald's aims to serve good food in a friendly and fun environment, be a socially responsible company and to provide good returns for its shareholders. Each country has the freedom necessary to listen to its customers and to comply with local legislation but the ethics and values of the company remain true across the globe.

No. McDonald’s has no plans to sell McDonald’s food in UK schools and wouldn’t choose to do so, even if this were possible. McDonald’s also doesn’t operate in schools in the US.

Just like any company, McDonald’s is in business to make a profit. Many of McDonald’s franchised restaurants are actually owned by local businessmen and women, who invest in the community as whole.

McDonald’s does not intentionally build restaurants near schools. Restaurants are located everywhere from shopping centres, to high streets, or on retail parks. Any proximity to a school is purely a co-incidence.

Do you not think that the increasing globilisation of MacDonalds is taking away from both the culture of foreign countries and also depriving smaller restaurants of customers and income. Moreover, what is you policy on giving back to foreign communities, particularly in poorer countries, where it seems as though your profits are sent straight back to the main MacDonald's base.

McDonald’s takes care to be a positive part of every country and community where it operates. Many McDonald’s restaurants are operated by franchisees who are local business men and women who often come from the community where they operate their businesses.
