- 31. How would I go about finding out the names and details of the nutritionists mcdonalds quote that claim certain food groups are neither healthy or unhealthy. I would suggest that there are far more nutritionists that would dispute this claim than agree with it. 'Some' is a very vague term. Are we talking 2 or 3 individuals or are we talking enough to warrent an accepted view in nutritional science?
-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
McDonald's uses the advice and expertise of a number of nutritionists. For example, the Global Advisory Council (a group comprised of experts from across the world), the UK's Food Standards Agency (FSA), and the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF).

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 32. How do you ensure quality/welfare standards on temporary menu items eg mcrib, lamb burger. With regard to suppliers and processing meat that are not permanent additions to the menu?
-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
The meat used in promotional items is sourced wherever possible from the same suppliers, and the product will not be allowed on the menu if it does not meet the same high standards as all of McDonald's core suppliers. If McDonald's uses a new source, the supplier has to be audited, traceability has to be in place and all the necessary assurance and acreditation requirements must be achieved. McDonalds does not compromise on animal welfare or food safety requirements.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 33. Why do your restaraunts seem to get something wrong every time I order? from no syrup in a pancake & sausage meal-to sloppy scrambled eggs in the big breakfast. It seems to be when I order multiple items, But theres nearly always something wrong. Its not just one outlet-I travel all over the UK. Only this week (& its only tuesday) I threw away a big breakfast because it was disgusting. Very badly burned sausage & raw eggs. Other times from the same outlet-Superb quality. Whats going wrong?
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s is sorry to hear about the inconsistent quality of your meal orders and would like to apologise. Every restaurant should always strive to ensure the best possible quality is delivered, and McDonald’s is disappointed to hear if this is not always the case. If you feel, at any time, that the standard of food falls short, please do inform the restaurant manager, who will prepare a fresh order for you. Additionally please feel free to contact the Customer Services team on 08705 244622, who will investigate any particular restaurants where there are any problems.

Information about how the food is prepared in McDonald’s restaurants is readily available of the Make Up Your Own Mind site. Quality Scouts Dani-Leigh Bailey, Louise Burton and Mhairi Gedde’s all visited McDonald’s restaurants as part of their respective investigations of various aspects of the company’s business. The Quality Scouts are all members of the public from around the UK who are curious about McDonald's business and its food. They're not paid, and have no ties to the company. They take an honest, behind the scenes look at McDonald's and report back exactly what they see and hear. These videos can be found labelled under the ‘Quality Scout’ link on this site in the ‘Watch Their Reports’ section. McDonald’s is unsure what you mean by your unfair assessment of its staff. All crew members receive training from the day that they begin their employment with the company in various aspects of hygiene, food preparation and cleanliness. Within this training, there are very strict procedures that pertain to how often and when hands should be washed, as well as procedures to ensure food quality prior, during and after cooking. The company spends £14 million a year on training its employees, and certainly wouldn’t have been as successful as it is today were it not for the dedication of its employees, nor if it relied upon “unqualified greasy mingers”. Finally, in respect to boxes and packets of French Fries, they should always be full, and if you receive a portion that is not satisfactory please bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager who will prepare you a new order.

McDonald's has strict hygiene procedures in place throughout its restaurants to ensure that an event like this occurring is highly unlikely. However, if you are ever unhappy with your purchase, please bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager or crew member who will replace it with another new fresh order.

Twice I have written an E mail to your customer services complaining about the quality of the meals I bought from my local Mc Donalds, nobody there seems to have the good manners to even acknowledge receipt of my complaint let alone answer it.
-
McDonald’s apologises for not replying to your emails. As a result sometimes it can take time to get back to every customer, so please be patient and rest assured they will eventually deal with your complaint. What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 38. I stopped visiting McDonalds when the make-up of the classic hamburger changed - why did the burgers get smaller and the buns become not so nice (sometimes stiff!) and what ever happened to the onions and mustard? Please rethink your burgers!
-
McDonald’s is disappointed to hear that you haven’t been enjoying the Hamburger. Whilst the buns are lightly toasted, they should certainly not be stiff, and a Hamburger should also always contain mustard and onions. The company hopes you brought this to the attention of the restaurant manager and had your order remade. Remember that if you are ever unsatisfied with the quality of the product then please let the Manager know, so any issues can be dealt with. However, with regards to the size of the hamburger, McDonald’s would like to assure you that none of the burgers have been reduced in size at all. If you experience unsatisfactory standards again please relay it to the restaurant manager, or contact the Customer Service team by sending them an email using the 'Contact Us' link at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 39. Will you ever stop using tainted meat in your burgers? Yes or no answer please.
-
McDonald’s is unsure what you mean by tainted meat. All McDonald’s beef patties are made of 100% beef prepared from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you'd buy in the supermarket) sourced from cattle within the UK and Ireland. All that's added is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. Meanwhile all McDonald’s chicken based food items are made from 100 percent white chicken breast meat from poultry that are reared on farms that are required to meet McDonald's Agricultural Assurance standards. All food ingredients information for McDonald’s food items are available online in the 'Ingredients List' which is in the 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk. If you don't believe the company, you can follow the journey of the Quality Scouts on this site. They're ordinary members of the public who visit various parts of McDonald's operations and suppliers. Just click on the ‘Quality scout’ link on this site to find out more.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 40. im looking to gain a bit of weight, would eating at your restuarant regulary help me?
-
Each person’s diet and lifestyle is a matter of personal choice. McDonald’s would encourage you to make the best choices that are right for you and to follow a diet that includes food from all the major food groups, in line with government recommendations. Any person seeking to make a change in diet with the specific intention of either gaining or losing weight would be advised to consult a doctor before embarking on a new dietary programme. Myths and misconceptions may suggest that eating regularly in McDonald's is a route to weight gain but in fact McDonald’s menus offer a wide range of options, including a variety of portion sizes, making it quite easy to include a McDonald's meal in a healthy balanced diet.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 41. If you guys are such family service people then why did my mom have to argue with 3 people at Macdonald's because she wasn't satisfied with your nasty/greasy/unhealthy food. Also if your food isn't as greasy as you guys say why do i gain weight every time i eat a burger or why do my teachers or my cheerleading sponsor use Macdonald's as fattening food and tell us students to eat healthier stuff? I know this sounds mean but all of it is 100% TRUE!!!

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 42. I am from the United States. Will eating British food harm me in any way?
-
Firstly, many apologies for the very slow response to your question, the site is undergoing technical changes and updates and as such some questions had slipped through the net so thank you for your patience. Regarding your question, over the past few years, there have been a number of farming incidents in the UK that have been dealt with swiftly by the Government and are now resolved; McDonald's UK, during these times of crisis, has always acted in the line with the advice given. Additionally, the company has stringent Quality Assurance procedures in place that ensure that the traceability of its produce is transparent: food safety is a fundamental. Therefore, there is no reason why you can not enjoy the great taste of McDonald's food in the UK, secure in the knowledge that it comes from only the very best suppliers.

-
McDonald's food contains nothing that would make a person in reasonable health ill or feel sick in any way, unless you have allergies to certain foods. All ingredients that are used are similar to those you would buy in the supermarket or use at home.
You can find out more about McDonald's food and ingredients in the 'Ingredients List' at www.mcdonalds.co.uk, or at www.mcdonaldsmenu.info.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 44. what percentage of restaurants do you believe use your 10 minitue and bin rule which would be good i can get timed video evidence of 2 local that do not stick to this policy i would rather wait over 5 mins for fresh
-
The percentage should be 100. McDonald's rules are clear that once sandwiches or burgers are prepared, they must be sold within ten minutes, otherwise they are disposed of. If you have evidence that these high standards are not being met, of course it might be easiest for you to discuss it directly with the manager of the restaurant. Alternatively, McDonald's would like to see it so that a thorough investigation can take place. You can contact the Customer Service Team by calling 08705 244 622, or you can email them using the 'Contact Us' link on www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 45. why do i get da hiccups when i av a burger in mcdonalds?
-
There are many reasons why someone might suffer from hiccups after a meal. Sometimes hiccups can occur spontaneously but they can also be caused by eating too quickly, drinking a very cold drink whilst eating a hot meal or from eating very hot or spicy food.
