1. How long have McDonalds been using Cadbury's chocolate in their restaurants? For any purpose, not just McFlurrys.
Cadbury’s started supplying the Cadbury 99 Flake for the ice cream cones in 1997, and the toppings for McFlurries in 2000. (May 2008)

2. Hi I have just purchased a mcflury maker for my young child, but the mcflurrey packets are out of date and i have tried everywhere to replace these but have had no luck.please can you help me on where to buy these or how i might make my own many thanks clare stanton-mayers
Sorry for the slow reply to your question, it seems that your question slipped through and the team apologises for any inconvenience occurred. Thank you for your question. The McFlurry Maker is a toy that is not commissioned or in any way approved by McDonald's. For this reason, we are not aware of the process for ordering the replacement packets that you refer to. We suggest that you ask the store in which you purchased it for details of suppliers. Good luck.

3. Why is it whenever I buy a McFlurry in various branche, they are never whipped. I understand your restaurants are busy, but shouldn't the products be served as described, and not just have chocolate thrown on top?
McDonald's is disappointed to hear that you have received food that does not meet the high standards you expect. Unless there is a problem with the McFlurry machine, there is no reason why your McFlurry should not be blended smoothly with the topping of your choice. If you are not satisfied with a McFlurry in future, please bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager who will be happy to have a new order prepared for you.

4. I've just read that McFlurry means to mix the icecream and topping. How come in all the mcdonalds I go into they don't mix them. They just sprinkle a little topping on, then push the spoon in. For example the Oreo one just gets sprinkled with dust. You should have a policy that if they don't mix them you get it free.
McDonald's apologises for the unsatisfactory McFlurries you have received recently. Unless there is a fault with the machine, whenever you order a McFlurry, the ice cream should be mixed with the topping of your choice for at least five seconds. McDonald's believes that your situation is an isolated one, and it is unlikely that a policy will be made to provide a free McFlurry if it is unmixed. However, if you are unhappy with your next McFlurry purchase or any food item that you have ordered, then McDonald's encourages you to bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager, who will be happy to arrange a fresh order for you. 5. Why does the mcdonalds in bellevale never have a working mcflurry machine?
McDonald's apologises for any inconvenience that you may have incurred. With any type of mechanical equipment, there is the possibility of it breaking down and failing, but clearly this should not be a regular occurrence. The McFlurry machines in the restaurants are regularly cleaned and maintained. If you continue to experience this problem, please bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager. Alternatively please contact the Customer Service Team via email at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. (September 2007)

6. Hmn, I'll have to phrase this carefully. I think this is a wonderful tool, by the way.My most important question I can think of now is: Do you think certain competitors seek to imitate McDonalds products? (I think you could answer that without being libellous). I wont go into detail about how Burger King has released some stupid McFlurry rip offs.
Speaking only for McDonald's, the company is very proud of all the food that it provides for its customers. McDonald's only sources ingredients of the best quality, with careful preparation and attention to detail to consistently make the tasty food that millions of customers enjoy. The company couldn't possible comment on whether competitors attempt to emulate its success. (July 2007)

7. I love McFlurry, but whenever I eat it, my skin turns red and chapped, my mouth stings and I have difficulty breathing. The problem seems to be getting worse. Should I continue eat it in the hope that I might harden myself, or is there some other explanation? Do you put poison in McFlurry? Yours, Dan Barker
There is absolutely no poison in the McFlurries. If you are having some particular kind of reaction when you eat a McFlurry, then it would be advisable you discontinue purchasing and eating them immediately, and speak to your doctor about the symptoms you are having. You can take a look at the'Ingredients List' which is in the 'Eat Smart' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. You can also find extensive dietary and allergen information about McDonald's food products at www.mcdonaldsmenu.info.

9. Crikey, but your website is slow. I recently had a Mcflurry Maker as a present, but in the instructions it tells me to use "half & half" to make it up with. What is this in English please?
The McFlurry Maker is a toy manufactured and sold in the US, and is now available in the UK, so all the instructions would refer to consumers living in the US. ‘Half and Half’ is a US creamer made up of half milk and half cream, similar to the pots of creamer you may get for your coffee in the UK.
