1. What items do you sell a lot of which has a low gross profit. Which items do you sell low quantities of which have low gross profits?
Thank you for your question. As you know the Make Up Your Own Mind site was set up to answer questions about the McDonald's business in the UK as openly and honestly as possible. However as we state on the site, some information cannot be given out because it is commercially sensitive and therefore confidential. Profit is a subject that falls under that category, so unfortunately we are not able to answer your question in this instance. McDonald’s is sure you’ll appreciate that the exact breakdown of the kind of financial information you are asking for is highly confidential and the company doesn’t release it. (March 2010)

2. umm what are the business objectives of McDonalds? Not the mission statement, not the vision statement, not the aims and not the service concept. I’m not a student and do not wish to receive the student information pack. Thank you
Many thanks for your question. McDonald's main objectives are to serve good food in a friendly and fun environment, to be a socially responsible company, and to provide good returns to its shareholders. The company aims to provide its customers with food of a high standard, quick service and value for money. This is all achieved by research, the use of technology and the business acumen and relationships built up by McDonald's over many years. Due to the competitive nature of the quick service restaurant sector, McDonald's keeps its financial details to internal personnel only, so it is not possible to give you a definitive answer to cost and business objectives.
