What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 2. I have a question regarding fillet-o-fish burgers. I want to ask: why no special offers or promotions are given to the product? I want reasonable compensation as this is the only burger i can eat (being a vegetarian). I can offer an idea. The idea being make other product promotions applicable to the fillet-o-fish burger. i.e. big mac for 99p also applies for the fillet-o-ofish etc. Please take this into consideration.

Thank you for your question and sorry for our slow response, this was due to some recent technical updates to the site, which resulted in a delay in answering questions.
Sorry you have this impression, as this really isn’t the case. Each promotion we do is targeted at different groups of customers and the deals included are, therefore, those that offer the greatest and most appropriate choice for that specific group. For example, a football promotion we did was targeted at young men. Sales data shows only a small amount of vegetarian options are purchased by young adult males. Therefore, the offers reflected those products that are most popular for this particular group. Where an activity is more broadly targeted, such as the Monopoly promotion, then vegetarian options are included again to provide the greatest choice to the majority of people.
McDonald's believes it offers a good variety of food items that are suitable for vegetarians, including the French Fries - which are cooked in 100 percent vegetable oil - the Toasted Deli Spicy Veggie Sandwich and the Garden Side Salad. There are also snack options such as the Fruit Bag and Carrot Sticks. There's a full list of which of McDonald's products are vegetarian-friendly on the back of every tray liner.
You can also visit www.mcdonalds.co.uk for more information. Just click on the 'Eat Smart' section.

It is actually cheaper to buy the larger meal and throw out what fries/drink they don't consume. Why can't you offer a deal for 15p (half the cost of upgrading to large) and people can have 1 medium drink and one large fries or vice versa.
-
Thanks for your suggestions. However, research has shown that the majority of customers want both a drink and fries (or another side order) with their meal. Therefore, this is the only meal bundle currently offered, and McDonald's believes it offers very good value for money.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 4. why are your staff and customer service both so dismissive if you pride yourselves so much on customer service? I phoned both the branch & customer service to advise them that i had not been given my free glass despite having a conversation with your staff about wanting 1, and despite understanding that the glasses are subject to availibility, why was i not notified when i ordered a LARGE meal especially , that there were no glasses available as I would then have ordered a medium meal!
-
The Coca Cola glasses are a popular promotion item, and as a result occasionally demand outstrips a restaurants supply. However McDonald’s understands your frustration and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. If you ever feel like you have received a poor standard of service, please inform the restaurant manager at the time so they can help resolve any issues with your meal.

The Coca Cola glasses are a popular promotion item, and as a result occasionally demand can outstrip restaurant supply. Like with all McDonald’s promotions, sadly the Coca Cola glass offer must come to an end. However, if you missed it- the Coca Cola glass is a popular promotional item, so there is every chance it will be returning in the future. The best course of action is to keep an eye out for it, as well as regularly visiting www.mcdonalds.co.uk for updates on recent offers. If you would like to voice your enthusiasm for the promotion, please let the Customer Service Team know by visiting the 'Contact Us' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

-
McDonald’s occasionally run local offers that are exclusive to that area. These can be run in local newspapers and magazines, but they are down to the individual restaurants. When McDonald’s is running a national campaign you will be able to find more information at www.mcdonalds.co.uk

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 8. Why are your glasses only available with large meals? In an age when the media are constantly piping on about obesity this is encouraging people to eat more especially if they don't really want it. Personally, I didn't. My son's and I opted for the normal size meal but were disappointed that we didn't get a glass.
-
McDonald’s is sorry to hear you were disappointed not to receive a glass with your meals. This particular promotion is hugely popular, therefore making qualifying purchases for Coca-Cola glasses subject to purchase of large Extra Value meals and Premium Salads. This means that customers have a wider choice in which to choose from to enable them to qualify for a free glass. You may also be interested to know that you can purchase the glasses separately for £0.99p, although stocks now are very limited.

I asked for the Big Mac with no pickles but I was told I couldn't get it without pickles as I was using a voucher. Is this true?
-
McDonald's is sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at one of its restaurants. Although the request for no gherkins in your Big Mac is usually at the manager’s discretion, there should be no reason why your request cannot be granted, regardless of whether you were using a voucher or not. Please contact the Customer Service Team by calling 08705 244 622, or you can email by using the 'Contact Us' link on www.mcdonalds.co.uk, and the team can investigate your matter further.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 11. can you send me some vouchers for free??????????
-
McDonald’s run various voucher campaigns throughout the year which often involve voucher booklets being sent to homes surrounding some of the company’s restaurants. Most high street restaurants have vouchers in stock that they give out to potential customers so you may wish to check with your local high street restaurant to see if they have any stock left. You can also find vouchers in local newspapers if restaurants are running a local reader offer- however this would be down to the individual restaurant. If McDonald’s is running a national campaign you will be able to find more information at www.mcdonalds.co.uk

-
McDonald's does sell coffee to children although there are alternative more suitable drinks that are available primarily with children in mind such as Vittel Mineral Water, Robinson’s Fruit Shoot and Tropicana Fresh Orange Juice. Unfortunately the Monopoly promotion has finished for now. However like many McDonald’s promotions and competitions, Monopoly may return at a later date.

-
Thanks for your question; alternatives can usually be accommodated at the discretion of individual restaurant management teams. McDonald's does encourage its staff to be open to customers' specific requests; for example offering a Vegetable Deluxe/Filet-o-Fish instead of a Big Mac to vegetarian customers. The next time you visit a McDonald's restaurant and the voucher offer is on, please speak to the restaurant manager about any alternatives that they might be able to offer you. We hope they're able to help.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 15. My complaint is why do u do ticket vouchers with Arriva Bus company?. Ihave been told i cannot use the voucher with a drive-thru. We only have a drive-thru, whats the difference?. If i go in and order at the drive- thru its the same as going in a resturant with no drive-thru. The no drive-thru will cost me £3 to get to it, can you see it makes no sence to me and you have lost a sale!!!.

Throughout 2008 McDonald's has implemented local store promotions to support its high street business areas. There has been an increase in restaurants relocating to out-of-town retail parks or shopping centres, and this in turn has seen a decline in the amount of customers on the high street. As the majority of bus depots are in town centres, the use of bus tickets for marketing has proven to be an excellent method for achieving the objective of supporting the high street restaurants, hence the terms and conditions stating 'not valid at Drive Thru restaurants'.
