- 1. my questions has to deal with an appearance of Ronald McDonald at a local Fall Festive that we do, here in Columbia Missouri, all of our proceeds go to Ronald Mcdonald, I thought that it would be great if he could show up to our event this 2011 year. do you know how I would go abot this?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately Ronald McDonald is very busy and is only able to make limited appearances at social public functions. Therefore it is highly unlikely that he will be able to attend your birthday parties in the future, sorry.

Although McDonald’s is pleased to hear of your enthusiasm for Ronald McDonald, you will be disappointed to hear that the company mascot does not have a fan club. In answer to your other questions, Ronald McDonald does choose McDonald’s food as part of his balanced diet and, like other employees, is provided with an employee discount card. It is also true that Ronald makes live appearances at McDonald’s restaurants and various children’s events around the UK, as well as in other parts of the world. Depending on the location, be it Germany or Japan, Ronald makes an effort to talk to people in the local language, something which it would seem you’ve experienced.

Ronald McDonald has been the leading face for your organisation since 1963 and has served billions upon billions of burgers because of this. Through him, countless people of all ages have been fed cheaply. "Super-Size Me" also suggests children are more familiar with Ronald than Jesus Christ. My question: at this point, why has Ronald not started a new religion?

Whilst it is true that Ronald McDonald has been the face of the company since 1963, he has never actually served a burger, as he is a fictional character who is all about having fun and bringing a smile to everyone he meets. McDonald’s itself is an international business thriving in many countries around the world, thus employing thousands of people from a wide variety of cultures and religions. It would therefore, definitely not be appropriate for McDonald’s or Ronald McDonald to support or comment on a single religious or political viewpoint over another.

Sonic aside, Ronald McDonald is busy having fun and enjoying life with his friends in McDonaldland. As the face of the company, and one of the most recognised characters in the world, Ronald McDonald is dedicated to bringing a smile to everyone he meets and does not advocate fighting.

Although he no longer appears in McDonald's UK advertising, Ronald is still very busy. If he is not out and about across the country promoting exciting new activities and having fun, Ronald is in the restaurants greeting people and making sure that everybody is having a great time. So keep an eye out the next time you visit and you may just see him.

The Hamburglar is really just a fun fictional character that was part of McDonaldland, and McDonald's hopes most people saw him as no more than that. He no longer features in marketing activities in the UK, and there are currently no plans to re-introduce him. However, he can still be seen in some other countries.

Ronald McDonald and Hamburglar are both fictional characters. Whilst Ronald McDonald still features in UK marketing activities, Hamburglar is no longer used in the UK, although he can still be seen in other countries.
