- 1. Why are the Deli sandwiches only available until 8pm?
-
The company hopes that you can appreciate that during later times, when custom is slower and staff levels are reduced, the available menu items will become limited so that the products that are the most popular with the majority of customers are readily available and prepared. This in turn will result in some products such as the Toasted Deli Sandwiches being available as part of the main menu, served until 8pm, at participating restaurants. However McDonald’s understands your frustration and can only offer its apologies.

Those numbered metal things mean nothing to a punter. at least in Burger King you can see on the front of the box that your Burger is fresh. They mustn't have anything to hide...what about you??Great that you only put beef in your burgers but they'll still be dry as cardboard after 20 minutes of baking in their box.
-
McDonald's apologises if the metal timecards are confusing to customers but these time indicators are for McDonald's staff use and relate to how long ago the burger was made. McDonald's doesn’t have anything to hide - burgers that are not served within ten minutes are thrown away to ensure that they are served at an optimum temperature and freshness for your enjoyment.

Why is it that if you order "standard" foods like Big Mac's, QP with Cheese, the food tends to be lukewarm, however ordering a QP without cheese or Chicken McNuggets are always hot? I understand you are a "fast food" restaurant, but food shouldn't be allowed to be cooked and then be allowed to go "cold". Sometimes you can even see restaurants with 3-4 Big Macs behind the counter and you know that the one you get is going to be cold so you have to order something else.
-
No matter what McDonald’s menu item you order, if it should be served hot, then that’s how you should receive it. McDonald’s pre-prepares some of the menu items so that they can be served to customers quickly. The amount pre-prepared is based on the knowledge of demand of each individual restaurant. However, there are very strict rules in place and burgers must be sold within ten minutes, otherwise they are discarded. This is monitored using a timecard system. If you have received any food that you feel is unsatisfactory in any way please talk to the restaurant manager, or phone Customer Services on 08705 244 622.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 5. Food shouldn't be sold after 10 mins of being cooked. Why then, is it common practice NEARLY EVERYWHERE - to leave food on the rack for well over 10-15-20 mins (sometimes longer)? The taste/texture of burgers (& Fish - my fav) deteriorates, the buns dry out/get hard. This is why most people I know have stopped (or reduced) their visits to McD's. This is such a common practice - those little metal dividers (denoting 10 min internals) are often ignored. Why? Sort the quality out please?
-
There is a strict holding time for food to ensure that it remains fresh, and restaurants should adhere to this. The holding time for each product varies depending on the type of food. For example, a burger or sandwich is held for ten minutes and French Fries are held for five minutes, whereas the holding time for a salad will be up to eight hours in the fridge. McDonald’s food should always be fresh, but if you feel that this is not the case, please speak to the restaurant manager on duty. Alternatively, you can call the Customer Services Team on 08705 244 622 or visit the 'Contact Us' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk

McDonalds is supposed to be "Fast Food", could you please tell me why I have sometimes had to wait 20 minutes for my food (including queuing and waiting for the food). The food I order is standard (i.e. no special requirements) and there is usually few people waiting, just very few staff serving.
-
McDonald’s always aims to serve customers as quickly as possible. If you feel that you have had to wait for an unreasonable length of time or that you have to wait this long on a regular basis, please contact Customer Services on 08705 244 622 and they’ll look into this specific issue for you.

Absolutely, you can order your meal to be cooked while you wait. You will have to wait a while longer though as the pre-prepared food is made so that customers don’t have to wait any longer than necessary.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 15. How efficient are you? For example, do you know the average times it takes to make each burger/sandwich?
-
McDonald’s aims to serve food fast and efficiently. Of course, the time to prepare each sandwich can vary depending on which burger or sandwich you’re talking about. For example, it takes 42 seconds to cook a Hamburger patty, but around 118 seconds to cook one for a Quarter Pounder, due to the size difference.
