The company hopes that you can appreciate that during later times, when custom is slower and staff levels are reduced, the available menu items will become limited, so the products that are the most popular with the majority of customers are readily available and prepared. What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. Why am I forced to buy large meals as part of a "Late Night Menu" in certain restaurants? It does not seem responsible to encourage people to order more food than they would like. Additionally, why are simple items such as hamburgers removed from the "Late Night Menu" while more complex variants of the same thing (such as double cheeseburgers) remain?

Thank you for you question. As a progressive and modern business, McDonald's UK are committed to providing a service for its customers wherever and whenever it is needed. One area of our business where we have seen increased demand is the overnight period. In the past few years McDonald’s have been working in our restaurants to try and develop a menu that makes it easy to operate but at the same time allows us to offer the greatest choice to our customers. The 'Late Night Menu' has been developed with this basic criterion in mind. McDonald’s do, however, understand that it would be beneficial to our customers if our menu offerings were identical regardless of time of day. This is something that is being worked on to achieve and there are already many restaurants around the country expanding their menus to include both hamburgers and cheeseburgers.

McDonald's is sorry for any disappointment experienced when ordering a veggie sandwich during later hours. The company hopes that you can appreciate that during later times, when custom is slower and staff levels are reduced, availability of this item is limited so that items most popular with the majority of customers are readily available and prepared. However, if a vegetarian option is required the restaurant should honour your request, provided the patties are available to make your sandwich. McDonald’s appreciates your frustration and can only apologise.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 5. I believe McDonald's have three menus: Breakfast, Day and Overnight. In a 24 hour restaurant what time do each of these menus begin and what are the differences between the day and overnight menus? Thanks!

Thank you for your question. Indeed at McDonald's there are three separate menus, Breakfast, Day and Overnight. In general the breakfast shift starts at 5.00am and changes to the day menu at 10.30am. There are however some exceptions. In some specific locations, such as airports, where there is less uniform customer flow it could be the case that these opening hours differ slightly. This is a decision that is taken at a local level and is subject to approval. With regards the overnight menu, owing to demand at different periods during the day or night, some restaurants might choose to not offer the full menu list at certain times.

No, this is not true. McDonald’s aims to serve customers as quickly as possible. If you feel that this is not the case, or that you have had to wait for an unreasonable length of time, please speak to the restaurant manager who will look into this for you.
