3. Dear Mac's, I visited a new McDonald's in Oxford, England (Headington area) that had a "waterless urinal". That was quite unique! Just how is this human bio-waste handled as it appeared there was no water source for this item? I was quite impressed with the hand dryer too... The bright blue beam of light with a highly sufficient force of very warm air. Does the light have some kind of cleansing effect? Thank you for your time regarding my questions.
Thank you for your question. To a considerable extent unpleasant toilet odours are the result of organic material decomposing as a result of attacks by bacteria. However, this bacterium is only able to survive with the aid of water. Healthy urine is in fact sterile and free from germs when it is not combined with water, meaning that the installation of a waterless urinal will not result in unpleasant odours. The siphon seals in the odours and prevents them from escaping, thus keeping the odour levels well below the maximums defined in legislation requirements - all this without sealing liquid or extensive technology. 4. Hi, i am a muslim and am going to start a job at mcdonalds as a crew member. I wanted to know if i would wear gloves when i prepare food as i dont want to touch the meat.
First things first, welcome to McDonald’s and congratulations on become part of the company. It really depends on which type of roll you are going to be working in as a McDonald’s crew member. All restaurant staff receive hygiene training when they start work. This training, plus awareness of the importance of hygiene, continues throughout their employment with McDonald's. Managers and staff are extremely vigilant when food is being prepared. In line with UK food industry standards, McDonald's restaurant staff wear special gloves when handling raw meat and uncooked eggs. However they are not required to wear gloves for other food preparation. This is complemented by a strict system of regular hand washing in all restaurants to make sure that all the food produced is safe. If you feel that you would prefer to wear the gloves in other situations then please bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager so you can resolve the situation. (August 2008)

5. Why do people in McDonalds outlets always have greasy skin and spots? Is it because you don't pay them enough for them to buy soap?
Many young people as well as older people suffer from spots or have skin problems at some point in their lives. This doesn’t happen to people who work at McDonald’s any more than it does to people working in other places of employment.
