- 1. Why is it that you still put salt on your chips when other fast food companies give you the option to add salt or not?
-
McDonald’s is currently conducting trials into unsalted French Fries with the option for customers to add salt to taste. However, it is only fair to say that any decisions will be based on listening to what the majority of its customers say they want with regards to taste as well as any other concerns. If you would prefer your Fries without salt, you can always ask for this when ordering and the staff will be happy to make a portion of unsalted Fries up for you.

-
It sounds like you are referring to the McDonald’s Happy Meal. With the Happy Meal, you have a choice of a Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Chicken McNuggets or Fish Fingers. You can then add a small portion of French Fries, Carrot Sticks or a Fruit Bag at no extra cost. Your choice of drinks includes Vittel Still Water, a Milkshake, a Robinsons Fruit Shoot, Organic Milk or Tropicana Orange Juice. You also receive a Happy Meal toy – there are different toys available at different times. Each milkshake will have slightly different ingredients depending on its flavour but all milkshakes are made up of around 75 percent of milk, which comes from the British isles. The full ingredients of the milkshake base (before specific flavouring) are: Milk, skimmed milk, cream, sugar, skimmed milk powder, glucose, stabilisers: E412 guar gum, E452 sodium phosphate, E407 carrageenan, E466 carboxymethylcellulose and vanilla flavour. If you would like any more details on the different flavours or indeed any item on the McDonald’s menu, all food, ingredients and nutritional information are available online in 'Eat Smart' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk under the ‘Ingredients List’ section.

-
McDonald’s aim is to provide all consumers with delicious, value-for-money food that caters for all tastes, and that includes customers who choose to eat meat. In order to fulfil this, the slaughter of animals is an unavoidable part of the process. However, McDonald’s has very clear and strictly-monitored standards in place that continually ensure that this slaughter is conducted in a humane and compassionate manner by qualified personnel. The company also works with internationally renowned experts to ensure that best practices are in place. In fact, McDonald’s has been given the 2006 RSPCA award in recognition of its commitment to animal welfare. And the company will not do business with any supplier that does not comply with its standards, which go beyond those required by UK and EU legislation.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 4. i love McDonalds food and people say that there is so much rubbish stuffed in all your foods i realize that these statements are false however how did these rumors begin? there must be some truth!
-
McDonald’s is glad to hear you love the food. The company is a leader in the fast food market and, as such, it tends to get the majority of both praise and criticism. Where it is unfair or negative, the company takes the opportunity to address the issues head on and this website is a good example of this. Many commentators seek to use the McDonald’s brand and international presence to support various positions and theories that they wish to put forward, hence the start of rumours.

McDonald’s Happy Meal advertisements aim to inform children of the current Happy Meal promotion and aim to engage with children in an appropriate way. McDonald’s takes a responsible approach to advertising the food by always showing a portion of fruit or vegetables in the Happy Meal combination. Any of the current salad range is suitable for children and customers can swap the French Fries in the Happy Meal for a Fruit Bag or the Carrot Sticks.

-
Yes, there is every chance. McDonald’s constantly reviews its menu options and sources quality produce where possible. There are no more additives or preservatives in McDonald’s food than you’d find in equivalent supermarket items.
