1. Why is the breakfast not served in breakfast hours? I use mcdonalds before work during the week 9am is great however saturday and sunday surely you should serve till at least 11am or 11.30am. My local mcdonalds is surely missing out as there is a pub next door serving breakfast till 12pm and a subway serving till 11am. Sort it out people we want breakfast at 11 not chips and burgers.
Thanks for your question. Breakfast ending times do vary at McDonald’s restaurants and most of our restaurants stop serving breakfast at 10.30. There are a few restaurants who serve breakfast until 11am on a Sunday only. Please contact the restaurant about their opening times to avoid disappointment. (February 2011)

2. Why wont u start breakfasts earlier? i work nights and am hungry for a mcmuffin!
Thanks for your question. McDonald’s breakfast is served once the store opens. Opening times of restaurants do vary, to find out your local McDonald’s Restaurant opening times please visit: http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/restaurants/restaurant-locator.shtml. All stores serve breakfast until 10.30am and if a store is open 24hrs then breakfast will start from 5am. We are unable to serve breakfast and main menu items at the same time due to the difference in temperature needed for cooking certain items on the same grill. (January 2011)

3. As a breakfast customer I am a fan of the late McDonalds customer friendly breakfast. Due to weekday work schedules and weekend family time, the McDonald’s breakfast is now a thing of the past due to your I'll informed time changes(Sack the people who suggested this)we now use another outlet(not McDees)who seem to want to cater for the customers requirements.
Some franchised McDonald's restaurants do continue to sell the Breakfast Menu until 11am on Sundays and Bank Holidays. However the majority of restaurants follow the same operating procedures, serving breakfast up until 10.30. The reason for this is primarily down to operational factors, whereby the grills are only used to cook one menu at a time in order to prevent meat cross-contamination. Thus, during the morning, the breakfast menu is available, with the main menu available afterwards. Finishing the breakfast menu at 10.30am gives the crew plenty of time to prepare the kitchen area for the main menu, ensuring that they are ready for the busy lunch time period. It also enables the crew to focus on producing great tasting food of a high standard without allowing time restraints to compromise quality. However, McDonald’s understands why this can be frustrating and can only offer its apologies. (Jan 2010)
