- 1. I would like to know where the quater buns are made and how they are transported to each restaurant
-
Thank you for your question. Our quarter buns are baked by one of our bakery product suppliers in Heywood near Manchester or Banbury, Oxfordshire. Once baked, they are then sent to our distribution supplier’s distribution centres, and from there, out to our restaurants. (May 2011)

-
Thanks for your question. The Chicken Legend roll is a farmhouse bread roll, which uses a percentage of wholemeal flour; the Deli roll uses a mixture of white and brown flours. We have researched brown, wholemeal and granary rolls in different burgers, none of which has researched well enough for us to launch. (May 2011)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. Most people are unaware that white bread from refined white flower is not good for them (aside from what is between the slices) - it causes fluctuations in blood sugar in the immediate term causing tiredness and lack of energy and in the long term possibly contributing to the onset of diabetes (alongside an unhealthy fat and sugar dominated diet). Is this on the Mcdonalds radar? Would you look at substituting white bread with brown bread? Or does the addictive sugar rush that children get from white bread mean that it would be against policy to look for alternatives?

McDonald’s food is safe to eat and contains nothing addictive in it. Although there are no plans to use brown bread for the burger buns, McDonald’s does offer the Toasted Deli Sandwich range on white or brown bread.
