- 16. I have an experience day (OJE) coming up for a management position in a months time and wondered if you could tell me any more about what kind of agenda to expect on the day? Also I have completed the application and online questionnaire but currently have no idea where the OJE comes in the mcdonalds management recruitment process.

Thank you for your question, but this website has been set up to deal with questions regarding McDonald's in the UK. However regarding the company's position on permits - McDonald's does not apply for work permits on behalf of prospective employees.

Thank you for your question. We recruit on qualities not qualifications for our crew positions, so there is no requirement to have formal qualifications. However, a good command of the English language, the ability to take direction, work as part of a team and have good energy levels is very important.

McDonald’s UK doesn’t publish their turnover figures because these can’t be compared properly to other companies’ staff turnover figures - different methods of calculation are used. However, staff turnover at McDonald’s is lower than average for the fast food / quick service restaurant sector and it must also be taken into account that there are a lot of temporary and seasonal workers within the McDonald’s workforce. Turnover is monitored every two weeks and the rate of staff turnaround has decreased as improvements are being for staff.
