Thank you for your question. McDonald’s UK doesn’t publish their turnover figures because these can’t be compared properly to other companies’ staff turnover figures as other companies use different methods of calculation. However, staff turnover at McDonald’s is lower than average for the fast food / quick service restaurant sector. It must also be taken into account that there are a lot of temporary and seasonal workers within the McDonald’s workforce. Turnover is monitored every two weeks and the rate of staff turnaround has decreased as improvements are made to working environments. McDonald’s UK is one of the biggest employers of young people and can provide a valuable first step for many young people into work. Around 25,000 people each year begin work at McDonald’s as their first job and the opportunities offered and flexibility of hours can suit young people and their studies or lifestyles. (March 2011)

Thanks for your question. We do have a European Works council, employees put themselves forward for the position and our other employees choose who they would like to represent them. The employees with the most votes are then the elected representatives. (March 2011)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 34. I was working at Harben Parade, London and had to quit the job after giving a notice of more than 2 weeks because of expiring visa. I had balance holiday pay, and I was wondering why is it not being credited to my UK account. Since I have left the job on 20Jan 2011 it is not credited yet. I wonder if P45 has been put on my name or if there is any procedure.

Below that, the departments are broken down into: corporate affairs, marketing, human resources, national operations, regional managers, finance, information, and strategic planning. Other functional departments within McDonald’s are legal, customer services, franchising, security, hygiene and safety, property and construction, supply chain and restaurant services. I've submitted an online application form into the general candidate pool since there're no McDonald's vacancies right now near me. What'll happen to my application now? When a vacancy opens up in my area, will I have to directly apply to them, or will they already have my application from the candidate pool?

Thanks for your question. Please keep checking the website and make a direct application to any restaurants in which you would like to work.
When you apply to the talent pool you application will only stay there for a month and will only be found if a manager conducts a search for candidates, most managers do not have to search for candidates in the talent pool as there are a high number of applications for each vacancy. (March 2011)

I'm a new crew member at Mcdonalds in Dunstable (0506) i have registered my information on to the "our lounge" site i then tried to log-in to do the mandatory tests for my first shift but it doesn't allow me to log on and states that "Authentication failed", i have no idea of how to sort this out and i have been waiting for 3 days.
