2. Which of the London based branches of McDonalds are not Franchises and what is the Ratio of franchises and non-franchises in the UK?
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately McDonald’s does not disclose information that is commercially sensitive as this would offer an advantage to our competitors. However we can tell you that within the UK, there are approximately 1200 restaurants, of which around 600 are franchises. (June 2011)

3. Are there any original Non Franchised Mc Donald’s Owned Restaurants left in the UK? If so could you let me know where they are please?
Thanks for your question. Yes there are. Unfortunately we don’t give out specific details around which restaurants are franchised and which ones are company owned. However, if they are franchised there should be a sign on entering the restaurant stating a person or company as the trading entity. You might like to know that we have around 1200 restaurants and of these about 600 are franchised. (May 2011)

4. Hi, is there and annual report for 2010? and In the UK how many McDonald's restaurants are there? and out that figure how many them are franchise and non franchised?
Thanks for your question. Please visit http://www.aboutmcdonalds.com/mcd/investors.html for the 2009 Annual Report and the 2010 Proxy Statement. There are currently about 1200 McDonald’s restaurants in the UK with over 50% being franchised. (April 2011)

6. What parts of the employee handbook do Franchisees have to adhere too? Particularly in reference to pay and discipline. Is there a franchise liaison officer that can be contacted regarding certain issues, or are franchised employees left out in the cold?
Thank you for your question. The McDonald’s franchisee will have their own employee handbook - all employees should be provided with a copy when starting work. If not a copy should be held in store for them to read. (Jan 2010)
