1. Who said that pickles are called gherkins, not as long as I’ve been around? Over 60 years, get it right.
Thank you for your question. Although a commonly used term for all pickles, by definition, gherkins are actually a specific species of pickled cucumber. Our pickles are not produced using this specific type, and so we refer to them as dill pickle slices. (Jan 09)
