- 1. i am muslim and i eat halal food. my question is about fish o fillet burger.that fish cook in separete oil or cook with other food use oil.and i also want to know that how u filter the oil specialy fish cook oil.please answer my question.somebody told me that all mcdonald food cook together.specailly fish

Thanks for your question. None of our food is certified as Halal. Our Filet-o-Fish patty is cooked separately from meat items in 100% vegetable oil. However, due to the design of the oil filtration system there is a small chance that tiny traces of the vegetable oil used to fry chicken products can come into contact with oil used to cook the fish products, during the oil filtering process. The vats are filtered manually using a strict order of rotation to minimise any chance that oil residues from the previous filtering could get into the vat used for the fish products. Therefore while every precaution is taken in order to prevent this during the filtering process, we cannot categorically state that this would never occur. (October 2011)

Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. do mc donalds display a sign any where in there shop when the meat or chicken is halal.i understand your right to appeal to different communities i personally would like the same religious right offered to me by allowing me a choice to walk out when halal meat is on the menu i totally dissagree with the way the animals are slaughtered and as a christian find it abhorent that this form of food could be served to me without choice via a sign intimating this fact

Thanks for your question. None of our food is certified as Halal. The issue of Halal food items on the McDonald's menu is a complex one, with both sides of the debate raising passionate and important issues. It goes without saying that customers are very important to the company, and McDonald's works hard to accommodate them all as best as it possibly can. McDonald’s UK has no current plans to introduce Halal food to the menu at any McDonald’s restaurant. (August 2011)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 5. im so glad there is no halal in macdonalds, because it is a very barbaric way to treat our animals, the scottish society for the prevention of cruelty to animals want to ban this halal procedure. So if the muslim demand was high would you go against all our animal principles and sell it? because that would be lowering your own ethical standards for greed.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 8. Is there Halal meat being served in uk macdonalds? If so we have a right to know, as christians we are not permitted to eat food offered to idols, and halal slaughter disgusts most decent British Citizens. We need to know so we don't accidentally break the rules of Christianity and animal welfare by eating such products.

Thanks for your question. None of our food is certified as Halal. All of our products are cooked separately; beef patties are cooked on a griddle and our Filet-o-Fish, Fish Fingers, Apple Pies, Chicken products and vegetable patty are cooked in 100% vegetable oil using dedicated cooking vats. These vats are exclusively for the purpose of cooking a specific product and that product alone. However, due to the design of the oil filtration system there is a small chance that tiny traces of the vegetable oil used to fry chicken and fish products can come into contact with oil used to cook the vegetable patties and Apple Pies, during the oil filtering process. The vats are filtered manually using a strict order of rotation to minimise any chance that oil residues from the previous filtering could get into the vat used for other products. McDonald’s French Fries are made using Russet Burbank, Pentland Dell, Innovator and Shepody potatoes, which are chosen for their quality, taste and long shape when cut. The fries are not coated in any fats or substance from an animal. Once at the restaurant our fries are simply cooked in dedicated frying vats in a non-hydrogenated blend of sunflower and rapeseed oil which is 100 percent suitable for vegetarians. McDonald’s French Fries are officially accredited by the Vegetarian Society. (May 2011)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 14. Hi, I am a Muslim and I would like to ask a question about your Filet-O-Fish sandwiches. As a Muslim I can eat fish (as it is regarded as Halal) and my question is: Are the Filet-O-Fish sandwiches cooked in 100% Vegetable Oil or is the same oil also used to cook other animal meat (for example chicken)? Your help in answering this question will be very appreciated. Thanks.
-
Thanks for your question. None of our food is certified as Halal. Our Filet-o-Fish patty is cooked separately from meat items in 100% vegetable oil. However, due to the design of the oil filtration system there is a small chance the oil used to cook these patties can become in contact with oil used to cook meat products during the oil filtering process. We therefore cannot guarantee cross-contamination will not occur, but have taken measures to minimise the amount of any cross-contamination. (April 2011)
