1. where do we come to know about the latest prices of your meals
Thank you for your question. The best place to ask is at one of our Restaurants. Prices will vary slightly between different McDonald’s restaurants according to a number of factors. McDonald's set prices with a demand based methodology, which means there may be price variations from restaurant to restaurant, but in a way that offers best value to that restaurants' individual customer base. In addition, as a franchisor McDonald's cannot prescribe pricing to franchisees who can set their own price structure as they see fit in their local market. The overall aim for each individual McDonald’s restaurant is to provide food at a competitive value driven price for our customers. (June 2011)

2. Why do restaurants charge 20p for extra cheese? For example on a 99p Chicken Mayo the cost for this with cheese is £1.19 or sometimes £1.29. I am certain the cost of the cheese slice is not 20p, infact I doubt the cost of the entire burger is much more than 20p!
Thanks for your question. This request should be honoured at the managers discretion. (June 2011)

Based on their policy, the VAT rate charged differs depending on the type of item sold. Please see the HMRC website for further information http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/forms-rates/rates/rates.htm. 5. Why have your happy meals price increased? I now can't afford it with my pocket money!!
Thank you for your question. McDonalds is sorry to hear that you find the Happy Meals too expensive however believes that the meals still offer great value for money. Many improvements have been made over the last 10 years to our meals, including the reduction of salt content, the inclusion of Tropicana Orange Juice and the use of only juicy white chicken breast meat in our Chicken McNuggets. 6. will every store under the new vat rate have to reduce the prices of the products that tax is charged on? as i am aware of a store that is not doing this. thanks.
In December McDonald’s made price reductions to its menu in order to pass the benefit on to customers. Rather than passing the savings through on every menu item, we have passed on the full VAT saving by concentrating reductions on the most popular items in a way that gives most value to our customers.
