- 1. Why do McDonalds staff rarely wash their hands, use salad items that have gone off/mouldy have no colour co-ordinated cleaning system, not clean food containers, and ignore the time they keep food unless there is an inspection!
-
All McDonald's restaurant staff are trained in food safety and hygiene when they start working for the company and at regular intervals throughout their working career. McDonald's restaurant staff that handle or prepare food should wash their hands at least every 30 minutes and other staff not handling food should wash their hands at least every 60 minutes. Staff members are also trained to wash their hands before starting work, after using the toilet and after doing anything that could have contaminated their hands. With regards to food being kept this should never be the case. McDonald's has strict policies with regards to discarding any food, which is not of the correct quality, and ensures that cooked food is discarded at the end of its holding time. McDonald's also have thorough and comprehensive cleaning systems, including colour coding. If you feel that any of this is not the case, please speak to the restaurant manager at the time of your visit. If you believe that the issue is persistent, please talk to the Customer Services Team on 08705 244 622 and they will look into the specific details on your behalf.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 2. Do you not think that as we are in a swine flu pandemic that all staff should be wearing gloves or at least use equipment when handling food- not just waving it in the air with their hands. How can you prove to your customers that all staff actually wash their hands and follow the rules. Just because you say its meant to happen dont make it actually take place.
-
Swine flu does not pose a food safety risk to consumers. The primary risk of infection is through inhalation of the virus particles. All McDonald’s UK restaurant staff receive hygiene training when they start work. This training, plus awareness of the importance of hygiene, continues throughout their employment with McDonald's. Managers and staff are extremely vigilant when food is being prepared. McDonald's restaurant staff wear special gloves when handling raw meat and uncooked eggs. However they are not required to wear gloves for other food preparation. This is complemented by a strict system of regular hand washing in all restaurants. In addition, employees would not be permitted to work if they were suffering from any symptoms of flu.

-
McDonald's places great emphasis on quality control and set strict hygiene and preparation standards for all our restaurant teams. I can advise that an incident of this nature is extremely rare and is taken very seriously.
It is of course our policy that anyone involved in the cooking or preparation of food must wear a hat and that any long hair has been neatly secured in a braid or bun. However, if you are ever unhappy with your purchase, please bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager or crew member who will replace it with another new fresh order.
Alternatively, if you wish to speak to a member of our Customer Services department, please feel free to give them a call on 08705 244 622.

There are many urban myths about McDonald's that are simply not true. If any event such as that in your question was to occur, rest assured that it would be investigated fully by the company and dealt with immediately. However, the company can categorically say that no semen has been found in any of its food.

-
McDonald's has been trading in the UK since 1974 and some of the restaurants are a bit older than others. The company continually improves restaurants to keep them modern and up to date. Right now there is a major refurbishment programme underway to speed up this process.
