- 1. Hi I was wondering if you could help, as a local under 14's rugby club, we are looking for sponsorship or sports equipment from local companies. Everybody we have approached seems to only support football teams. Kind Regards Chris Gill

Thank you for your question regarding the possibility of McDonald's being involved with potential sponsorship of your rugby club.
McDonald's UK are already committed to providing more opportunities for children and adults alike, to participate and receive qualified football coaching across the UK.
These opportunities are provided through the McDonald's Community Partnerships with the four UK Football Associations, which help to fund the creation of newly qualified volunteer football coaches as well as the provision of curriculum time coaching and fun football festivals throughout the year.
I'm afraid that we are unable to undertake other sponsorship initiatives as the UK football coaching programmes, which have seen over 20,000 new coaches qualify to date and over 1 million children receive better qualified football coaching, account for all of our sports sponsorship activation.
Please let me take this opportunity to thank you for your interest and enthusiasm in the McDonald's sports programme and to wish you all the best with the team. (July 2011)

These local partnerships are created through our Club Twinning programme which runs in conjunction with our partners at the four UK Football Associations, who recommend the most suitable and deserving local junior football club for each McDonald’s restaurant which chooses to take part in the programme and look for a local team to support.
