- 1. I went into one of your outlets the other day for a meal and ended up with 4 triple play vouchers. When I goto your website I am asked my date of birth which I enter in the format asked for. I am then asked the same question time and time again without getting any further. Is this a con?

We are sorry that you are having trouble with the online system for our Monopoly promotion. We aren’t aware of any reported problems similar to this. We have an age verification page in place because our promotional rules exclude anyone under the age of 16 from taking part. There is no reason why anyone over this age would be excluded; in fact millions of people have already taken part.

I know where your store is, but just want to know what is on your breakfast menu. This is extremely frustrating, very poor from your IT department. I'll go and try the burger king one now

At the moment the majority of the McDonald's UK website is not optimised for a mobile experience and as such we have limited the content that can be accessed on a mobile device to those areas that do work. We are aware that access to our site via mobile devices is important to our customers and we are working on this as a priority to improve this experience, including access on both mobile internet and apps. I noticed you had various information packs for students on your website about marketing, franchises etc which need to be downloaded. However, i keep getting directed to another part of your website when trying to download these. They would really help my project and am really interested in finding out more. Would it be possible to tell me how i can actually download them?

Thanks for your question. Sorry to hear you are having trouble downloading the information packs. Please go to the McDonald’s website www.mcdonalds.co.uk click on the ‘People’ tab, then the ‘Schools & Students’ in the red banner. After this you should be able to see the ‘Download’ boxes under each section, click on the one you would like, a prompt box will open, select ‘student’ and then click Proceed to download. The document should open up as a PDF.

Therefore, the information on this website is not necessarily accurate after changes get made. Does McDonald's Corp. recognize that information on this website is legally binding?

Thank you for your question. There is not a problem with the website that we are aware of in this area. The ingredients information is available for all of McDonald’s UK menu items by visiting the ‘Food’ section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.
With regards to the information provided on the question which you mention, we can say that the information is correct at the time of publishing, which in this case is August 2008.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 15. Why do you script your answers, and give the exact same text to multiple questions? For that matter, why do you even give multiple versions of the same question? There's even one 'question' which is simply "halal" - yet you give the same long, convoluted answer that you give all questions about halal menus. Why is this? Why isn't there an open forum, where we can ask questions? And why do I know that you will probably not even answer this question, instead giving the standard reply?

There are a lot of very similar questions sent in which is sometimes why the same answer is given to different questions. For example, there have been lots of questions sent in asking about Halal food and vegetarian menu items. The same answer is sometimes used because the facts about McDonald's food and business remain the same. Where this is not the case the answers to the questions are being looked at again to find a more appropriate answer. McDonald's is also considering holding live web chats where people can quiz McDonald's senior management by asking questions in an open and honest debate.
JUNE '07 UPDATE: McDonald's trials Halal chicken at a restaurant in Southall, London. (June 2007)
SEPTEMBER '09 TRIAL RESULT: McDonald’s began this trial because we wanted to assess customer demand for certified Halal food in our UK restaurants. We have learnt that Halal is only popular with a very small percentage of our customers and to offer it we would need to make significant changes to our kitchen procedures and supply chain. Given this, we have decided that we are not currently in a position to roll out Halal food in the UK.
