Our Big Mac® sauce is made by one of our sauce suppliers in Lancashire, and the cheese slice is made by a supplier in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 9. Hi, Has the weight changed of the big mac burgers since 1990? if so what size where they? I've searched the questions and this seems to be side stepped by saying 2 burgers total upto 90g. Could you please give me a straight forward answer such as in 1990 they weigh XXg (in total) now they weigh 90g. Thanks, Tom
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s UK can assure you that there has been no significant change in portion size of the Big Mac over the last 20 years. There will only have been slight differences in nutritional content, for example a difference of 5 - 10 kcal, from one year to another due to the natural variation of the food ingredients used. The Big Mac contains two beef patties, Big Mac sauce, lettuce, onions, dill pickles and a processed cheddar cheese slice on a three-tiered sesame seed bun. The Big Mac beef patty weighs 45g before cooking. However, because each Big Mac contains two of these beef patties the total weight would be 90g before cooking. This was the same in 1990 and is the same now. You can find nutritional information for all McDonald's food items on www.mcdonalds.co.uk. (January 2011)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 10. why cant you add extra food on to your burgers like extra cheese on your big macs or cheese on chicken sandwiches to make it how u like it
-
Thanks for your question. McDonald's prides itself on speed of service, so if we were to tailor each and every burger to the individual this would take away the essence of our service. Each burger is built to deliver the best taste experience. You can ask for burgers without cheese, onions, etc but you will have to be prepared to wait while these are made separately. (January 2011)

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 11. Why is there so much salt in a Big Mac?
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s offers comprehensive and straightforward nutritional information on all of its food to help customers make informed choices about what they eat. This is available in restaurants on the reverse of trayliners and online at www.mcdonalds.co.uk and www.mcdonaldsmenu.info. A Big Mac contains less than half your GDA of salt which should be factored into your balanced diet.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 12. Hi there. I was just wondering, do your burgers (particularly the Big Mac) use pickled cucumbers (pickles), or pickled gherkins (gherkins)? I'm aware that your advertising campains have always stated that pickles are used. However, being raised in North America since childhood, I recently found out that the two are different foodstuffs and my friends all say that there are indeed gherkins in them. I feel that I can get a concrete answer from the source. Thank you.

Thanks for your question. McDonald's uses Dill Pickles in their burgers including in the Big Mac. For more information on McDonald’s food you can visit www.mcdonalds.co.uk and click on the ‘Food’ tab.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 13. I won't lie; I am addicted to McDonald’s food. Most days I eat a big Mac meal and a flurry. Afterwards, I feel really good and 'up'. Before I have it, I feel inside that I 'have' to. Have you come across this before? Do you know why this might be?
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald's is sorry to hear that you were feeling unwell. Please be assured that unless an individual has certain allergies or specific dietary needs, McDonald’s food contains nothing that would make a person in reasonably good health feel ill or sick in any way. All the ingredients contained in the menu items are the same as those you would buy in any supermarket or use at home. McDonald's UK has absolute conviction in the belief that it serves good quality food that can be enjoyed by anybody as part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 14. How much water (directly and indirectly) is used in making one big mac (including the bun, patties, lettuce, tomatoes etc.)?
-
Thank you for your question. The beef that McDonald’s UK uses is 100 percent beef, from cuts of forequarter and flank and therefore does not contain any added water. Recent analysis of a Big Mac sandwich showed that it contained on average 51% moisture. All the ingredients in the sandwich will contribute towards this water.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 15. how does McDonald's big mac being prepared? Please I want the answer in a statement form because I can't watch your video.

Thank you for your question. A Big Mac consists of two 100% beef patties, Big Mac sauce, lettuce, onions, dill pickles, processed cheddar cheese slice, and a sesame seed bun. The beef is prepared and cooked as follows:
Firstly, skilled butchers prepare the beef (from wholecuts of the forequarter and flank) just as they would in a butcher’s shop, taking care to trim the meat to McDonald’s standards prior to delivery to the company that makes the hamburger patties. The mincing, although on a large scale, is basically the same as that which goes on in a butcher’s shop. Nothing is added – no binders, no fillers, no additives. The mince is shaped into patties, frozen immediately and packed ready for distribution. Thorough quality checks are made on every batch. McDonald’s uses two-sided hotplates to cook them, so no extra fat is added during cooking. Then they are simply seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper.
