Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
The Big Mac weighs the most at 214g, followed by the Quarter Pounder at 194g whilst the McChicken Sandwich is 172g. Finally the Filet-o-Fish weighs the least at 151g. You can find portion weights on the back of the tray liners in restaurants.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 20. Could you please confirm the recipe for the 'Big Mac' - in particular what is the weight of the meat patties. Thanks
-
Thank you for your question. The Big Mac contains two beef patties, Big Mac sauce, lettuce, onions, dill pickles and a processed cheddar cheese slice on a three-tiered sesame seed bun. The Big Mac beef patty weighs 45g before cooking. However, because each Big Mac contains two of these beef patties the total weight would be 90g before cooking.
You can find nutritional information for all McDonald's food items in the 'Nutrition Counter' which is in the 'Eat Smart' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 23. Someone asked you to tell them everything that goes into your Big Mac. The answer is horrendous! More like a chemistry lesson than a meal. You should be ashamed. Shall i tell you what goes into my own version - Free range steak mince, free range egg to bind, pepper, herbs, tomato puree, onion. Tastes a million times better and is so much better for you. So my question is why?
-
McDonald's believes it takes the same care that you clearly do with sourcing and making a burger, just on a larger scale. The heart of the Big Mac is the beef patty, which is 100 per cent beef - minced from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (just as your butcher would choose), sourced from British and Irish farms. No binders, fillers, preservatives or additives are used. Just a pinch of salt and pepper is added after cooking for seasoning and taste. The onions are produced in Holland, while the lettuce is grown in the UK, in season from May to October; it is sourced from Spain during the winter months. Fresh produce will always provide the best ingredients and McDonald’s tries to use them wherever possible, but cooking at home rather than on the scale of McDonald’s is very different. Logistics such as storage, consistency of taste and seasonal availability of produce means that additives become an essential component of modern convenience food. If you have a look at the Big Mac ingredients list (see below for the web address), you will see that most of the more unfamiliar, longer list of ingredients are in the more processed elements of the burger - the special sauce, the processed cheese and the bun. And 'E Numbers' and additives are not all inherently bad or necessarily artificial either: something as simple as paprika extract is a good example, which is officially called E160c. They are used for a huge range of things from preservatives, to colouring agents, to stabilisers and emulsifiers that stop oil and water-based ingredients from separating. E Numbers are used widely in many foods that you will find for sale in supermarkets, restaurants and elsewhere. Details of all E Numbers and indeed all McDonald’s food and nutritional information are available online in 'Eat Smart' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk under the 'Nutrition Counter'.

Sorry to hear that you are having nightmares. However, it is highly unlikely that they have been brought on by eating a Big Mac.

I do not get this with any other food product I eat. I love maccyd's but if they are not good for my emotional state then i should lay off them - especially as I am a teacher.

Glad to hear that you enjoy the Big Mac and you can rest assured that there's nothing in the recipe that should impact on your moods. McDonald's sources only the best ingredients for its food items, and prepares them to the highest standards.

I think you've just answered your own question there. There is nothing in a Big Mac that should make a healthy person, who has no food allergies, ill in any way.
Full ingredients for the Big Mac and all of McDonald’s food items are available in the ‘Ingredients List’ which is in the ‘Eat Smart’ section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk

-
None. There are many urban myths about McDonald’s that are simply not true, and this would appear to be one more of them. There is nothing in McDonald's food that will cause any illness, unless they have food allergies, to a healthy person.
