32. I have heard stories about the products on offer at McDonald's. I have heard that the "100% beef" burgers is simply a brand name, allowing the restaurants to sell the burgers to customers who think they are eating a 100% beef product, when in fact they do not contain 100% beef. I have also heard that the french fries do not even contain potatoes! I would like to know if these statements are in fact true or not? I hope for the general public's sake that they are false.

Firstly, many apologies for the very slow response to your question, as the site went through a few changes some questions had slipped through the net, so thank you for your patience. Regarding your compliment on McDonald’s Hamburgers-thank you. If you are going to cook your burgers at home, go for it- the team here are sure they'll taste great. Whether they will taste the same as McDonald's Hamburgers is something the team are curious to know. When you make them please write in again and let the team know how they came out.

I read nothing but deciet on these answers for the questions HOW DO YOU COOK THE BURGERS SO FAAAST?? how come i can not cook it that fast and honestly and truthfully is macdonalds recommeneded as a balanced diet, is it good for you? can you 100% total assurity prove the burgers are 100% BEEF??? and do not LIE i await egearly for your answer. on which i shall publish my paper on macdonalds. please dont let me down.
McDonald's is sorry to hear that you think it's deceiving you. However, it's not. The burgers are cooked, without added fat or oil, between hot plates that cook the patties from both sides - a similar cooking process to the grilling machines that are sold in a variety of kitchenware stores. Depending on what is being cooked, the hot plates range in temperature from 177 degrees centigrade to 218 degrees centigrade. Experienced staff operate an assembly line system for preparing food and it's this idea that is fundamental to the success of McDonald's and many fast food restaurants. Therefore burgers are cooked and assembled rapidly. A good diet is a matter of variation, moderation and balance, and should be combined with physical activity. McDonald's believes that its food can be enjoyed as part of such a balanced diet and active lifestyle. However, each person's diet and lifestyle is a matter of personal choice, and the reality is that, on average, customers eat at McDonald's two or three times a month, which means they get the majority of their nutrition elsewhere. McDonald's is quite surprised by all the questions and doubt regarding the ingredients of the beef patties. All McDonald's hamburgers are made of beef. Nothing else. Just 100 percent beef, made from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you'd buy in the supermarket). All that's added is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. All McDonald's food ingredients information is available online in the 'Ingredients List' which is in the 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk. If you don't believe the company, you can follow the journey of the Quality Scouts on this site. They're ordinary members of the public who visit various parts of McDonald's operations and suppliers. 35. I got McDonald's take-out last night, took it home but, forgot to refridgerate the burger and fries. What will happen if I toast 'em then eat it?
There should be no obvious problem with doing this. However, McDonald’s food is made to be enjoyed hot and fresh at the time of serving in the restaurant. It is not really intended to be reheated. This could lead to food safety issues, as well as drastically reducing the taste. (January 2008)

37. I noticed that you use 100% beef in your burgers. Pepperami used to have 104% meat in their meat sticks. Do you plan on increasing your meat content to match compeition like this. If I were to have a direct choice for lunch between a 104% meat sandwich (2-3 pepperamis between 2 slices of bread) and a 100% meat sandwich then which one would I go for?!!!
McDonald's can only speak for itself, and it is confident that its Hamburgers are made of high quality beef and chicken meat, sourced from the best suppliers working to the highest standards. Which one you decide to have for lunch is entirely up to you. (January 2008)

38. I find some of the Mcdonalds food terrible and often tastes off. Why can you not answer questions truthfully as that is what you have promised and I firmly believe that you are just denying eveything because you want to look good. Look at the difference in the meat in your Chicken products to the chicken in KFC products. There is a different consistency because the chicken at KFC is much more likely to be 100% breast meat as it is not all sloppy and doesnt look like mushed up fat.
McDonald's doesn't agree that this is the case. High quality ingredients are always used and great care is taken to prepare the food which millions of people enjoy eating. McDonald's only uses quality white chicken breast meat in all its chicken products - absolutely no other part of the chicken. The McNuggets contain minced chicken breast which may therefore look more 'mushed up' but many other chicken items on the menu are from whole pieces of chicken breast. However, if you're ever dissatisfied with the food you have received McDonald's would encourage you to inform the restaurant manager who will be happy to prepare you with a fresh order, or call Customer Services on 08705 244 622 so that it can be fully investigated. 40. Do you use MRM (mechanically recovered meat) products in the beef or chicken burgers and nuggets you sell?
No, MRM is definitely not used. McDonald’s uses only whole cuts of forequarter and flank beef in burgers, and only carefully deboned chicken breast meat in Chicken McNuggets, the McChicken Sandwich and the McChicken Premiere.

No, none of the meat McDonald’s UK uses is reclaimed. In burgers, McDonald’s UK uses whole cuts of 100 percent beef taken from the forequarter and flank of the cattle. In Chicken McNuggets and McChicken sandwiches, it’s carefully deboned chicken breast meat. And for bacon and sausage meat, McDonald’s UK uses prime pork belly. All meat is supplied by accredited farmers and can be traced back to the farms and animals it came from.

42. what tolerance level of non meat product does your company have? IE, bone, cartilage, excrement, insects etc.
In beef and chicken sandwiches, McDonald’s doesn’t tolerate any non-meat product at all – in fact, the company uses only whole cuts of 100 percent beef forequarter and flank. Also, for example in Chicken McNuggets, the chicken is carefully deboned breast meat. And the highest standards of food safety are adhered to in the rearing, supply, preparation and serving of McDonald's food.

All McDonald's hamburgers are 100 percent beef, made from whole cuts of forequarter and flank, reared in the UK and Ireland. The McNuggets and the chicken patties in the McChicken sandwich are made only from carefully deboned chicken breast, coated in a specially seasoned batter.

This should never happen. McDonald's burgers are formed from 100 percent beef (no additives, no preservatives) and frozen into individual burger patties before being supplied to restaurants. The beef patties are cooked, without added fat or oil, between hot plates that cook the patties from both sides - a similar cooking process to the grilling machines that are sold in kitchenware stores. Then they are seasoned with salt and pepper. 45. I heard that the average burger has 3% of sweat in it, is this a tollerable level?
No, there is no sweat in McDonald's burgers.
