107. What is your definition of beef? What parts of a cow are considered beef and what are not. BTW I am a big MAC fan!
McDonald's is glad to hear that you are a Big Mac fan. The forequarter and flank are indeed the only parts of the cow that McDonald's uses. They are the areas at the front shoulders and sides of the animal, and they provide the cuts known as neck, fore rib, breast, chuck tenderloin, shoulder, shank, prime rib and flank. You can find more information regarding all the food on the McDonald's menu at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. Just click on the 'Eat Smart' section and visit the `Our food` link.

109. Exactly how many burgurs do you get from a cow on average, and you can work it out, you see how much mince you get from a cow, and then see how much mince is in a burger and then devide them :)
Like burgers and mince from other large food companies or your local butcher, there might be beef from more than one animal in McDonald's hamburger patties. Let's get this in perspective - there is milk from more than one cow in a carton of milk and juice from more than one orange in a carton of orange juice. The key point here is that all the meat we use is great quality. The company source from over 16,000 British and Irish farms, all producing to the same industry leading standards.

111. why do your burgers taste so bad? do you use the maure salvaged from the farms to add a certain aroma??
McDonald's is sorry to hear that you don' find the burgers tasty. All McDonald's hamburgers are made from beef. Nothing else. Just 100 percent beef, from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you'd buy in the supermarket). All that's added is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking for seasoning. However, if you are not happy with your meal, in any way, please contact the Customer Services team on 08705 244622 so they can take the details of your complaints and investigate the issue on your behalf.

114. are your baconburgers kosher?
It sounds like you may be referring to the Bacon Cheeseburger. This item is not Kosher for two reasons, firstly the Torah classifies pork as unacceptable to eat, and secondly the rules of Kashrut say that meat may not be eaten in conjunction with diary products such as cheese.

116. Why is it that Hamburgers are made of beef? shouldn't they be made out of ham?
The term ‘hamburger’ is a generic name for a style of beef sandwich that originated from Hamburg, Germany in the late 18th century. Originally called the ‘Hamburg Steak’, an early reference appears in 1802 edition of the Oxford Dictionary. This sandwich was made, and continues to be made, from beef, not pork.

119. have you ever used anything BUT 100% meat in your burgers?
Yes. McDonald's burgers are 100 percent beef, but from time to time depending on changes to the menu, the burgers may also incorporate herbs and spices for distinctive flavours. An example of this is the recent McDonald's Greek Mac. McDonald's always makes sure that this information is available to customers as part of the ingredients declarations.

There are no ‘veins’ left in the burgers. The meat is 100 percent beef, minced in a similar way that a supermarket or butcher would mince whole cuts of quality meat.
