2. I heard a rumour your carrot sticks were dipped in sugar to make them more appealing to children, is this true? If so how can you justify it?
As you have said yourself, this is just another rumour that surrounds McDonald’s, and the company can confirm that there is no truth to it. The carrot sticks are made from carrots similar to the ones you might buy in a supermarket. They are cut and sealed to help keep them fresh and free of contamination, with no sugar added at any point. (August 2008)

7. Why do you sell pre-packed carrot sticks and not fresh carrots?
McDonald’s sells pre-packed carrots sealed in an airtight bag straight after they have been peeled, chopped and washed to maintain their freshness. They are sold in this way because providing them in pre-packed bags is simply more convenient for the customer.
