5. Hi I have heard that the cheese you use for burgers etc... is not actually real cheese but in fact a Cheese analogues? can you confirm or deny this? Also if that is true, shouldn't you actually call your "cheese" burgers Cheese analogues burgers???? Cheers.
Thank you for your question. The cheese used in McDonald’s UK Cheeseburger is not a cheese analogue but a processed Cheddar Cheese Slice. McDonald’s UK uses a variety of cheeses across the menu, including processed Cheddar, Philadelphia Light, Emmental and Mozzarella. The processed Cheddar Cheese Slice contains: Vegetarian Cheddar Cheese (55%), Water, Butter, Whey Powder, Milk Proteins, Natural Cheese Flavouring, Emulsifying Salts (Trisodium Citrate, Diphosphates, Polyphosphates), Salt, Preservative (Sorbic Acid), Colour (Natural Carotenes, Paprika Extract). All McDonald’s UK food ingredients and nutritional information are also available online in the 'Food' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk under 'Ingredients'. (April 2010)

6. If McDonalds was a woman, I'd make love to her and marry her. I'd mount her like a lion. But can you list the ingredients in the cheeses/cheese products you use? And also can I have a list of the ingredients in the buns/bread products you use? I can't seem to find this information online, so if you could list them here and not direct me to another site, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your enthusiastic support of McDonald's. Unfortunately due to the size of your request, listing out all the ingredients in this box is not feasible. However this information IS easily and readily available at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. It can be found in the 'Ingredients' section under 'Food.' Better still, simply copy and paste the below link into your browser and you will be directed straight to the relevant page: http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/food/ingredients/our-ingredients.mcd (Jan 09)

7. In The Netherlands the cheddar on Macdonalds-burgers has been researched by the University of Wageningen, and has been found to contain 30% imitation cheese (main ingredient is hydrogenated palm oil). Is the same true for the cheddar You use here in the UK? I asked the same question 6 weeks ago, but didn't receive a reply.
Make Up Your Own Mind has been set up specifically to answer questions about McDonald's within the UK so it is hard for us to answer specific questions about products in other markets, although you can find links to the home pages of each country via www.mcdonalds.nl. With regards to the UK McDonald’s uses a variety of cheeses across the menu including processed Cheddar, Philadelphia Light, Maasdam (Swiss style), mature Cheddar, Italian style, and Edam. As an example, the Cheddar cheese slice in the Cheeseburger contains: Vegetarian cheddar cheese, water, butter, milk proteins, natural cheese flavouring. Emulsifying salts: E331 trisodium citrate, E450 diphosphates, E452 polyphosphates. Lactose salt. Preservative: E200 sorbic acid. Colour: E160(a) carotenes, E160(c) paprika. All McDonald’s food, ingredients and nutritional information are available online in 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk under the 'Nutrition Counter' section. (November 2009)
