2. I have seen McDonalds pour "egg" from a carton to make breakfasts, yet on television I saw them cracking eggs. what is it powdered egg and water or real eggs. Crack fresh per order?
You will hopefully be pleased to know there is no use of reconstituted powdered egg in any McDonald's UK Breakfast menu item. The scrambled eggs served with the Bagel products and Big Breakfast use eggs that are cracked and mixed with semi skimmed milk and pasteurised prior to being transported to the restaurants as fresh liquid in cartons - and for the rest of the breakfast menu McMuffins, the kitchens poach fresh shell eggs. All eggs used by McDonald's are free range. (May 2009)

All of the eggs used in McDonald's UK Breakfast Menu and sauces are free range. Our eggs are sourced from within the UK and Ireland and are from suppliers that conform to the Lion Mark Code of Practice and an independently audited free range farm assurance scheme. Furthermore, all eggs come from hens fed on a non-GM diet and are free from artificial colourants. (November 2009)
