What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 33. is it true........? that, milkshakes have an algae in it, that helps with the thickening. also is what makes it a thick mix to begin with.
-
There is no algae in McDonald's milkshakes. Each milkshake will have slightly different ingredients depending on its flavour, but all milkshakes are made up of a base of around 75 percent milk, which comes from cows across the British Isles.
When milk and sugar are refrigerated to a certain temperature, the combination of sugar and ice particles naturally thickens the mixture. The Milkshake machines keep this mixture constantly moving so that air can also thicken the consistency. A stabilizing agent, E412 guar gum, is also added, as it is to many ice creams you can buy in the supermarkets.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 35. Why do you have milkshakes that taste and look and probably are icecream. Why are they called milkshakes when you dont shake milk.
-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
You may be interested that know that all McDonald's milkshakes are made from around 75 per cent milk. The remaining quarter is additional ingredients required to ensure that the milkshakes remain fresh, and appropriately flavoured. Although McDonald's does not shake each individual beverage by hand, they are constantly mixed in milkshake machines. When milk and sugar are refrigerated to a certain temperature, the combination of sugar and ice particles naturally thickens the mixture. The milkshake machines keep this mixture constantly moving so that air can further thicken the consistency. A stabilizing agent, E412 guar gum, is also added; just as it is to many ice creams you can buy in the supermarket. A full list of ingredients for McDonald's milkshakes, along with any other McDonald's food items, can be found online in 'Ingredients', in the 'Food' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

-
There are some beverages served at McDonald’s that are prepared using a mixture of syrup and water. All carbonated drinks in the restaurants are made using syrup and water while the Milkshakes have approximately 15 percent of syrup in the milkshakes with the rest being fresh milk.

McDonald's Milkshakes are suitable for all customers, unless there is an issue with allergies or other specific health or dietary factors. Younger patrons who are accompanied with their guardians would obviously be supervised as needed; but the milkshakes should pose no problem.

The McDonald's Strawberry Milkshake is now definitely suitable for vegetarians. It may be that the restaurant you visited was not using an updated trayliner which reflects this change. Please let us know which restaurant you visited so we can ensure this is rectified. You can email the information via the ‘Contact Us’ link at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 40. is mcdonalds against using lower fat content in their milkshakes for example lower butterfat content as long as it tastes the same and has the same consistency. Also is there a way for you to make the milkshakes with lower fat content and still taste the same or are you currently researching that option ?
-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
There is a general perception that McDonald's milkshakes are very high in fat. However, this is simply not true. The milkshakes are approximately three percent fat, the majority of which comes from the semi-skimmed milk used in the recipe.
McDonald's is continually researching new ways to improve its menu items and overall nutritional content, but the approach you have mentioned is not one that the company is currently considering.

The milk used in McDonald's milkshakes is pasteurised milk. Details on the rest of the ingredients are available in the ‘Ingredients List’ which is in the ‘Eat Smart’ section at on www.mcdonalds.co.uk
If you are in any doubt about what to eat when pregnant you should discuss this with your GP or midwife.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 44. I love you vanilla milkshakes, but every time I order one I end up with one that tastes like banana. Why is this?
-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
McDonald's apologises that your experience with the Vanilla Milkshake has been less than satisfactory. There's no reason why your Vanilla Milkshake should have tasted like banana. Each milkshake is made fresh once ordered so it should arrive with you in perfect condition. If this happens with any future milkshakes (apart from banana ones!), please contact the Customer Service Team on 08705 244622 or alternatively please talk to the restaurant manager who should be happy to replace or refund the cost of this item.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 45. Hi - I know you don't use cochineal in your milkshakes anymore but I consumed your strawberry milkshakes when they did contain cochineal. Please can you tell me more about what kind of a beetle the cochineal beetle is - where does it live, habitat etc. Thanks.
-
The cochineal beetle, or dactylopius coccus, is a tiny insect which lives on cactus plants, particularly the prickly pear cactus, in Central and South America. A quick search on the internet should give you a little more information.
