- 46. Why did your emplyees ejactulate into my grandmother's milkshake?
-
Any rumours and stories about this sort of behaviour have never been found to be true and are regarded as urban myths. If McDonald's receive any allegations about bodily fluids in food these claims are fully investigated. If something like this were to happen any employee acting in this way would be dismissed.

Each milkshake will have slightly different ingredients depending on its flavour but all milkshakes are made up of around 75 percent of milk, which comes from the British Isles. The full ingredients of the milkshake base (before specific flavouring) are: Milk, skimmed milk, cream, sugar, skimmed milk powder, glucose. Stabilisers: E412 guar gum, E452 sodium phosphate, E407 carrageenan, E466 carboxymethylcellulose. Vanilla flavour. If you would like any further details on the milkshakes or indeed any item on the McDonald's menu, all food, ingredients and nutritional information are available online in 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk under the 'Nutrition Counter' section.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 49. someone who works for macdonalds said that part of the ingredience in the milkshakes are potatoes, surely this isnt so. how do your milkshakes come out so thick, no other places do them as thick as yours, they are the only milkshakes i drink, they the best :-)
-
You are correct; there are no potatoes in the Milkshakes. McDonald's Milkshakes contain milk as the largest ingredient. When milk and sugar are refrigerated to a certain temperature, the combination of sugar and ice particles naturally thickens the mixture. The Milkshake machines keep this mixture constantly moving so that air can also thicken the consistency. A stabilizing agent, E412 guar gum, is also added, as it is to many ice creams you can buy in the supermarkets. 75 percent of the Milkshake is milk from the British Isles. The full list of ingredients for the Milkshake base (before flavouring) is: milk, skimmed milk, cream, sugar, skimmed milk powder, glucose. Stabilisers: E412 guar gum, E452 sodium phosphate, E407 carrageenan, E466 carboxymethylcellulose, vanilla flavour.

The make your own mind up website claims that the E120 extract is no longer used, however on the mcdonalds website, in the ingredients list the E120 extract is still listed as an active ingredient. I would appreciate in you can clear this matter up as many muslims and vegetarians are not sure as to whether or not they are able to consume this product.
-
You will be happy to know that the Strawberry Milkshakes are suitable for vegetarians. McDonald's apologises for the incorrect information on the website. The ingredients list will be updated soon.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 54. Why do the Milkshakes have no fruit content in?
-
The milkshakes are extremely popular, with a recipe that has been virutally unchanged for years. McDonald's does use fresh ingredients, but adding fruit to the milkshakes is not viable logistically, and would unnecessarily change a menu item that has been enjoyed for decades.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 60. A recent newspaper article suggested that your milkshakes contain around 30 ingredients, yet your website doesn't seem to list them all in the ingredients section. Why is that?
-
The ingredients should be available in the ‘Eat Smart’ section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. If you select ‘Ingredients List’ you can download a PDF which contains the relevant information on pages 17 and 18. McDonald’s Milkshakes contain up to 22 ingredients, depending on which flavour you choose. While that might sound like a lot, 75% of the Milkshake is milk from the British Isles. Then sugar, cream, strawberry juice concentrate (natural flavouring) and other ingredients are added to ensure safe as well as tasty drinks. Wherever possible natural flavourings and colours are used. The ingredients for the Milkshake base are as follows: milk, cream, sugar, skimmed milk powder, glucose. Stabilisers: E412 guar gum, E452 sodium polyphosphate, E407 carrageenan, $E466 carboxymethylcellulose, vanilla flavour. Other ingredients are then added depending on the flavour.
JULY '07 UPDATE: McDonald's is no longer using cochineal for red food colouring in strawberry milkshakes. A small amount of natural beetroot extract is used instead, but without any beetroot flavour.
