-
Thanks for your question. The Sour Cream & Chive Dip is described as not suitable for vegetarians as our suppliers could not guarantee that the milk products it contains are completely free from traces of animal rennet. We are now working very closely with the supplier to change this so that it is suitable for vegetarians. (April 2011)

-
Thank you for your question. The up to date ingredient declarations for all food sold in the UK McDonald's restaurants can be found by visiting our website www.mcdonalds.co.uk and selecting the Food then Nutrition & Ingredients pages. The apple pie should be suitable as it currently contains no milk, eggs, sesame, nuts or their derivatives as ingredients. The ice cream cone used for our ice creams contains milk proteins so would not be suitable. The Strawberry Sauce used in our Strawberry Sundaes contains: Strawberries (37%), Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Water, Gelling Agent (Pectin), Acidulant (Citric Acid). There are several chocolate sauces used in our McFlurry desserts depending on the promotion being run however all currently contain milk or milk products. Please check our website for the most up to date ingredient and allergen information. (March 2011)

-
Thank you for your question. Whilst there are no products on the menu that contain alcohol there are some that contain products derived from alcohol – e.g. white wine vinegar in the sweet Chilli Sauce and Smokey BBQ Sauce and red wine vinegar in BBQ Dip.

-
Thank you for your question. The egg yolk used in the McChicken Sandwich mayonnaise is pasteurised, as are all McDonald's egg-based sauces. You may also be interested to know that, in fact, all the McDonald's egg-based sauces are pasteurised.

You say it's made in Scotland & that it's not for sale anywhere, but can you say what it's based on. e.g American, English , French mustard. They all taste completely different & I can't find one that I like
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s is glad that you enjoy the Quarter Pounders. The mustard we use in McDonald's has an 'American Style' flavour profile.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 8. i recently discovered that on your tray- liners, where the nutritional values are displayed it claims sour cream and chive dip is not suitable for vegitarians is this true and if so why?? also it says veggie deli isnt suitable for vegitarians can you please elaborate. thankyou
-
All ingredients in the Veggie Deli are suitable for vegetarians (i.e. contain no ingredients of animal origin). The vegetable patty is cooked in a dedicated vat using a non hydrogenated blend of rapeseed and sunflower oil (which is suitable for vegetarians). However, due to the design of the oil filtration system there is a small chance the oil used to fry vegetable patties can come in contact with oil used to cook chicken and fish products during the oil filtering process. We therefore cannot guarantee cross-contamination will not occur. The Sour Cream & Chive Dip is no longer suitable for vegetarians as our supplier can no longer guarantee that the milk products used are free from animal rennet.

Yes. Hellmann’s make a special mayonnaise for McDonald’s that uses only free range eggs. This is then pasteurised.
